I agree 100% with pear tree statement. What sucks for Putin is he is now limited to what other countries he can go in because they are just as messed up as Putin is. Being stuck in Moscow will get to him eventually like solitary confinement.

A number of my generation moved to nearby Canada to escape the Vietnam draft, a viable option at the time.
But today, Canada doesn't want you. It's not like moving to the next state over. The immigration laws are pretty strict.

. Somehow he should be taken out by highly trained snippers. Putin has to show up somewhere to where he could be taken out. This should be done before his itchy finger hits a nuke button and it’s all over.
This is what I've been saying for many years when you have insane mass murderer who just happened to be leaders of their country who need to be eliminated.... then why can't a sniper be employed to be 2 miles away and take him out, and nobody even knows where the bullet came from?

I don't fully understand it but unfortunately there are domestic and international laws preventing it. I think it is permissible if at war with said leaders country???

LOL , that will have the same effect as Brandon's "sanctions"
I wouldn’t underestimate those if I were you. The Russian government has struggled mightily to prop up their economy, but I remember seeing in at least one place that they might be heading to a collapse of their housing market like we saw in 2008. I’ll have to see if I can dig up a source, obviously…

Not to mention that the sanctions are international in nature.

Also could potentially mean no more international leaders meetings for him I imagine ie. No more G7 & G20 unless hosted in Russia?

TP
Well, he's banned from the G7 due to sanctions, anyway (it was the G8 before that, Russia was kicked OUT).

The next G20 is in India, which is not a signatory to the I.C.C. So, he can go there.

The punishment should be the same way he has his forces kill people shoot him then let him burn.

It's not just sanctions. Russia should never have been in that group to begin with. The Group of Seven (G7) is the group of countries with the seven biggest economies. Russia isn't one of them. Not even eighth. But they threw such a tantrum over not being in the club that the seven gave in. The G8 was often referred to as "the world's seven biggest economies plus Russia". When they were kicked out 17 years later, that just meant things went back to normal.

OK, second thought, move to the British Virgin Islands. as close to heaven on earth for me.
I forget the brand name, but BVI has the very best ginger beer anywhere. and best snorkling. gentle trade wind sailing... the music is ok but nothing is better than Puerto Rico salsa.

Because that's an act of war and there's no realistic way to completely hide who did the deed.

I lived most of my life in Alabama. I saw and heard a lot. Up to and including current leadership. I stand behind the Arrested Development.

The first submarine killed far more of its own crew than anyone aboard ships. You forget when it sank during a test run, killing everyone. And then when it sank right after its one and only attack killing another crew. Kind of like a bomber blowing itself up 30 seconds after dropping its bombs, not my idea of successful (it may have sunk due to the concussion of its bomb-on-a-stick, sinking itself). Sort of like it was the first Kamikaze ship, without the crew knowing.

The rocket that sent crews to the moon, the basic design was by Germans, and many of the experts at Marshall came from other states. And many African-Americans who were recruited to go there.... .refused, because.... Alabama in the early 1960's. It is so bizarre and without shame that meme would dare show a non-white guy attempting to tout Alabama's history, instead of Bull Connor from "Bombingham" and George "segregation now... segregation forever" Wallace.

We don't hold that against you, but maybe you could have stayed and improved the state.

In fairness to Huntsville, it is a metropolitan oasis in the middle of...Alabama. Still, it was not in great taste when NARAM came to town and the organizers embraced the iconic Union Jack.
