In other words, inside a MD rocket a shock cord that is movable with the length of motor you want to fly. Not the Aeropack ones. Not the Aerotech forward closure with threaded end. I want to be able to do it with a DMS motor. So how to attach cord to a DMS motor that will not fail?

I put this in my md. It is higher than any motor I could put in it.

Crap, those pictures suck. I used a normal retainer for the motor retention and put a 3d printed shock cord mount up higher. Dual deployment so I don't need to worry about motor ejection charge

But your setup looks great, I will have to give that a try. Friction and tape hold the motor in. Thanks.
