@Cesaroni Technology Question about the two-part adhesive supplied with 75/98mm Moonburners. The instructions say that the ambient temperature should be at least 20°C. Is this a requirement for the adhesive to cure properly? Is there any need for concern for motors ordered in the winter that the adhesive may freeze during shipping?
 
Was wondering if there is a plugged/threaded forward closure that could be used on a pro38 case? I need to use the motor for recovery harness retention.

This is the only commercial solution, and not recommended for recovery harness, but to allow installation to the min diameter retainers.

I'm sure someone will post a pic of threading an eye and epoxy potting it in place as a 1 time use.

The Aeropack adapter is not for attaching a eyebolt... it's for attaching a CTI motor to an Aeropack 38mm MD glue-in bulkhead motor mount. It won't handle the force of an ejection/deployment pulling against it... it will pull right out of the plastic CTI bulkhead, and chances are good that you'd lose your booster section and the motor hardware.

I would think you could make one out of a grain spacer, eye bolt, washers, and epoxy (JB weld?) to hold it all in place. You would just have use a longer case.

Freezing during shipping shouldn't be an issue, providing all is thawed out before mixing. Once mixed the adhesive cures very quickly, and higher temperatures will make it cure faster. Mixing at lower temps will give a longer cure time.

I epoxy eyebolts to the forward closure all the time. It's not approved or manufacturer recommended but with good epoxy and prep, they hold very well. This one was on the forward closure of a 54 6XL case. It came in ballistic from 35,000', bent the case, buried the rocket 5' in the playa, but the eyebolt held.

A non-welded eye bolt? What blasphemy is this? ;):)
 
I looked in the hardware section on the website but didn't see anything about the plugged forward closures in the Pro 75 motors. Do they have a female threaded hole to screw in an eyebolt? if so, what size is it?
 
Because none of the vendors I know are receiving product, and have not for the better part of this past year. Do you know the answer to my question?
You should check with the CTI vendors again. I know one that received a large shipment a few weeks ago. I won't mention them by name to be fair to all my vendor friends here.

The other factor is that CTI has significant aerospace contracts to fulfill. I can imagine they have to schedule HPR motor production around those commitments.

Already checked with my vendor, (this morning), still no new information. I have a warranty issue that has been pending as of June 2022. That is BS, no matter how I look at it. Got the casing replaced ASAP by my vendor, but not the load. He can't get what they are not producing and shipping. You can send me a private message on whom the vendor is as I would like to place an order.
