And to those of you with the switchblade equipped safety code books, rest assured this is only a joke. I would NEVER use anything as small as a J270 in a boat this size! šŸ˜‰

Besides, I promise not to run it at any NAR-sanctioned boat races...

There are no bad ideas, only bad decisions to proceed with them. šŸ¤”

Personally, it looks like a great idea to me. (Says the guy who forgets his PIN but knows exactly when and why he needed his last Tetanus booster...)
I thought I was the only one who remembered tetanus boosters! I still have four years to run on mine.

I recall one fella trying something similar back in 2001ish, think he was using a 'rigger'. He had problems getting it up on plane, think he needed rear sponsons (no prop to lift the stern) an electric motor to get it moving and on plane would have helped. Think I saw it on "rc groups/boats" section.

I am not recommending you drink while doing this, but it might be a "hold my beer" moment.

This is made all the better by the fact that water will not extinguish a burning rocket motor :p

There is a famous NASA film of some long ago messed-up flight (from Wallops?) that goes into the drink, swims around underwater for 15-20 seconds, and then re-emerges for even more mayhem.
