Nice. Now I just need to go buy a reliable GPS tracker so I stop losing these cases.

Eggtimer is having a sale through the 30th of November: Eggtimer Rocketry Holiday Sale

You have to be comfortable with surface mount soldering, but from experience I can tell you that if you invest in a good soldering station, tweezers, and magnification, you can get comfortable with it in under an hour, either with an SMT practice kit or just from diving into the Eggtimer kits themselves.

As much as I love the concept, based on the two trackers I’ve attempted to build and one I had built by a pro, my luck/skill with the actual GPS modules on those boards is terrible. I think I have one that works intermittently.

Sorry to hear it. I've had good luck with my one working Eggfinder Mini (with two more kits waiting to be built), but I also have one Mini I bought pre-assembled, sold as-is with known issues that I need to diagnose sometime when I have the time.

Dammit.... an hour before this post, I ordered from HobbyLink. Well, the case was cheap and the shipping reasonable, so I guess I cannot complain that much, but I could have gotten a free reload at this price. Ah well, next time.....

The free G reload was the kick to get me off the fence and buy the backup case I really should have in my box. Of course, once you're committed to paying shipping for an item, you may as well browse, right? $150 later...
