A big box of parts arrived Monday.

Extremely old school, the US Rockets Swarm is about 8 feet tall, 6 inch diameter with 12 outboard 29mm mounts and a central 3 inch mount that can be flown with an adapter for 4X29mm.

Hard to believe you can still get this new from the manufacturer but here it is. It is a little crude but for me the design makes up for it. Plus I love clusters. I’m thinking first flight I may run four G80s and 12 F15s in the outboards.

I love my Banshee. The Swarm always interested me but I never got one. I got the Allegro 4X18 and Allegro 4X24 last year with no issues at all.

Very interesting he still has parts for those. Wonder if the cones are different ( mine has transparent Scottglass cone ).
Also looks like the payload section is now standard ? (ie: longer rocket ). Mine was motor eject, single 24" BT, stretched to 48" bt, looks about the same as Dale's.
Here is, on single AMW L700 .... main only at 6000+ feet.

Nose cone looks near home made.

Payload bay standard.

Nice to see you here Al.

Mine has the fiberglas nose cone. Had to add the payload section. Quality of wood in J Blatz’s kit looks a lot better than mine. In fact the most recent USR kits I’ve gotten have been excellent quality.

Looking forward to seeing the finished build and flight reports. G80/F15 cluster sounds cool. Would you chad start the F's?

I think I’ll run electronics for air starts. The FireWires work very well for that application.

Or maybe I’ll just run all F15s first time around. Should be just enough thrust.

Sweet, Jason! Can't wait to see this progress!

Always wanted one...perhaps now is the time.

Airstarting F15's, eh.... *cough* thermalite *cough*.
