Ok, I am going to try this again. 3D designers get your CAD software buzzing. The goal of this thread is to inspire innovation.

Rules:
  1. The forum will judge the winner.
  2. It must fit a commercial altimeter that does dual deployment.
  3. It must be printed and shown in a rocket.
  4. Photos and files must be posted in this thread.
  5. A minimum diameter design will get bonus points (meant to fit a small rocket).
  6. The smallest design will get bonus points.
Prizes will evolve. Currently, we have a 12-inch Kevlar blanket, shock cords, and some parachutes.

Good luck.

Full DD in a 29mm Blackhawk kit. Bay is 4 inches long and 1 inch ID. Also have used this same altimeter in a Loc Precision 1inch kits for dual deploy on a C6-5.
It does not have the 4-40 threaded rods in currently that hold it all together but is otherwise complete.

I tried loading the version 3 (all the holes) into Cura but it loads in the size of a thumbtack.
yeah, Cura is "metric only", so you have to convert it. I drew it up in Imperial, so Cura thinks 1" is 1mm. Go into scaling, and set it 2540% (Cura kinda sucks for converting / they don't make it easy. found this out recently with someone else who has Cura)

Bayonet style nose cone sled for 2.6” Wildman Goblin. Eggtimer Quark and Eggfinder. Technically DD if you use a cable cutter for the main, but I will not complain if the official ruling says this one doesn’t count. ;)

This is just a can with screw top to hold my tracker and battery. No DD.
The smaller one is an attempt at 29mm min diameter but WIP. It needs to be longer cause the battery and tracker have to be stacked inside and the thread hole will have to go through the lid.
The blue one is functional. It's 37.8mm w/ 39mm cap. Small as I could get the tracker and a battery in (300 or 450 lipo). Eggfinder mini.
Somewhere I have a version in progress of the 38mm tube with an internal screw ... cant find it right now.
Edit: oops I realized I failed rule #2 about the dd but I'm leaving this here anyway.

This is my first design for a 3d printed ebay for my Wildman Dark Star Junior. It is a 2.1" rocket. I plan on going 2 stage so I put an Eggtimer Proton in there as primary with an Eggtimer Quantum as backup. I also included the Eggtimer Telemetry system to broadcast information during the flight.

It is Modular design in that I can remove all the electronics with only 3 screws and they can be placed in another rocket with the same three screws. Altimeters are mounted on sleds that key into cleats that secure with a single screw. Batteries slide into slots and are retained by the coupler tube so they cannot slide around. See images and files below. Click on the link to see a youtube video showing how the modular system works and a tour of the ebay.

Very nice!

I will post the poll tonight. I was giving the last post an opportunity to post his files.

Sorry for the delay everyone, I've been away.

Thanks for the contest, Chuck. And good luck everyone!
