Black is HOT in the Sun in the Desert! I would think a light color would be better, but NOT Pink!

Most T-shirt sources offer a variety of colors, although sometimes you have to tailor your design so it'll show up on certain colors.

Many of us, shall we say, "waistline-challenged" tend to stay away from light bright colors because it does tend to emphasize weight.

Oh ... and any t-shirt sizes should include "big persons' sizes" --some sources cut off at 3X.
(I can wear 3X but it's usually pretty snug -- I'm not much for the 'boiled sausage' look.)

The current fad is tissue thin t-shirts which is just terrible looking on 90% of Americans. Looks like just as back in 2003 when this thread was born that nothing will happen again. History repeats its self. :(

Well, in another "TRF rocket" thread, I did make mention to Angie that some merchandise might make a few of us 'non supporters' toss a few $$ their way..

I'd do a t-shirt. I got one from just about every event I've been too, club I've joined, and lake I've camped & fished at..
(Except one event;. their shirts were printed with gum or the ink never cured right. 3 washes and it started to rub off into little rubber balls..)

(and one of my favorite shirts is from Zorg Industries!! :D )

I no longer buy t-shirts of any sort other than light-colored or white ones. Much rocketry activity occurs in spring/summer/fall when temperatures are somewhere between 90 degrees and InstantPot. I hate heat even more than I hate cold, and I'd prefer a t-shirt that doesn't cook me. White, sky blue, yellow, fluorescent yellow or green, etc.

Best -- Terry

Thanks for bringing this up again. I will need to check it out and so a LOGO or Sticker type design on the left breast area would be good or something like that?

If I remember correctly from my past dealings with screen printers. Once you have the logo you can get any color they do as long as you get a dozen of them. I'll take one in white and one in black.

One word: samizdat.

Get a large copy (.gif/.jpg) of the TRF logo. Import it into MS Paint (or wutevr). Edit/clean it up to your preference, make a mirror copy. Get iron-on transfer paper (Walmart). Ink jet print the mirror copy of the logo on the transfer paper. Iron the logo onto a T-shirt (Walmart again).

DO NOT sell them. This is for YOUR OWN use.

Just messing around on Amazon. Looks pretty good though and cheap$.

I'll have to see what is what. I'll look at this thread again tomorrow when I'm fully on the forum again. Tonight I'm just checking in.

Actually, I would refrain from giving everyone free use of the logo like that. I doubt anyone would abuse it, but once you do it, it would then belong to "public domain".

Rather, you could set something up with the one vendor (where they offer the shopping cart), or with John Hall of Electric Weave where TRF provides the artwork for the TRF portion of the shirt with a DEFINED area for the individuals "handle". When ordering, the individual would provide their handle and it would be added to the pre-existing (pre-approved) artwork.

That way, each shirt is identical except for the users name.

best of both worlds and you protect your logo/trademark

I don't have a handle, I just used my name when I signed up and I see no way to change it. 😥

As long as each sirt is custom, how about adding NAR and/or Tripoli # to your name?

In the Midwest, with the crops, most of our HPR launches are late fall, winter, early spring. We wear parkas, stocking caps and mittens. A lot.

True, I had not thought it through. Still...in cold weather the t-shirt wouldn't be worn on top.** So it wouldn't matter what color it was. In hot weather it does matter.

**OTOH you could start a fashion trend. Madonna made the wearing of underwear on the outside wildly popular, for a while at least. :)
