Probably the most unhelpful bit of advice ever given at the climax of a movie. In the movie, Matthew Broderick even mumbles "I know" as if he's dealing with an idiot.

I use this line whenever someone gives obvious and completely useless advice, but wants to make it look like they're contributing. Or when I have nothing useful to offer. And then when no one else gets it (because no one ever does), I laugh to myself.

Yeah, it's funny on it's own, and the offhanded delivery is great, but he really expressed the angst of "not a danged thing here."
