I shuttled Woosher back to the lower industrial levels of Coruscant and revitalized him from the burns. Had to scrape off the bits from the inner tube. Then wash what loose soot I could. The a good soaking of thin CA and some accelerator. More old flat white touch up paint and done.

Woosher is more paint and CA than bird now, twisted and naughty.

Now, what motors do I use for the next flight? Old dates or new dates? Currently old motors CATOED 1 OF 9, New motors CATOED 2 of 3!

Maybe the extra CATO rate is why it's 50% off?!

Obviously, this is a tough old bird and not worried about minor details like CATOs. Still, I'd go with the old ones for a 1/3 chance of a nominal flight.

But it appears those cato's "cleaned out his guts... and cooked them too"
Somehow all the motor blocks and recovery gear are still attached and functional! A booster CATO just sends a burning core out of the rocket, no hot delay. Woosher does have ejection charges and their spontaneous combustion along with the CATOs has helped to save the day, along with deco puff wadding and lots-o-dog barf.

The old motors are 50% off. Higher price or more mark ups over the years at that LHS. NEW Motors bought at another LHS.

Hmm... Now he's posting photo's of the southern end, of a northbound Crane. Ban Him :closed:
With that view your are going to get a big doo doo or multiple motor CATO on your face. Feel sorry for the blast defector. Yes, hard core model rocket porn is common here in the oddroc section! :)

In all the decades I've flown rockets I have had 1 CATO. It happened about a year and a half ago. I was so shocked all I could say was, It blew up. As in the rocket exploded. Pieces every where.
Mine have mostly been E9 4s, now E12 0. Had an A10 0 and a A10 3 go too. I fly a lot so luck will have some bad motors.

I really need to hang out in the Odd Roc section more often (given this is a year old thread). Odd-Rocs aren't really my thing but this is quite possibly the neatest one I've ever seen. Could have something to do with my other hobby. I need to try building something like this - got any templates? ;)

I just hack an slash them together from a mindsim. I use the marking guide from a Flis Kits Tres. Three canted motor mount just needs a centering ring and a few drops of super glue, then super glue the mount into the cut out tube. Super easy and quick. About a skill level three build. Cut your balsa to taste. Balance with copious amounts of no good, stinking, performance robbing nose weight and push the button!
