I've seen external antenna being painted either white or yellow. What now?
I've done that and still have yet to find anything concrete. This would be for Apollo 11.It might be a "which flight are you modeling?" question...I haven't checked the other missions, but the Apollo 7 version was yellow...might peruse through pictures from the Project Apollo Image Gallery
The first example appears to be for Apollo 9. The others have no identifiable mission markings behind the Apollo 9 IU. The second picture I've no clue as to which mission this is for. Yet it all seems to be pointing towards a mustard yellow perhaps regardless. So off I go with 'yeller'. Thanks Dave and everyone else.
While I've been aware of several source's depictions, I don't know if the colors were specific to the Apollo 11 mission. That's where I've been scratching my head.Was at the Air and Space Museum this week and the instrument unit they have on display also has the yellow antennas FYI
