I am thinking of trying the X-Form style parachute. I want to make my own. Does anyone know of a tutorial or PDF or video or whatnot that shows how to make them? I have tried a few Google searches but come up empty.

I don't have a tutorial, but I could give you a description of how I made mine. How big are you thinking?

X-chutes are great and they look cool spinning on the way down, I searched but couldn’t find the specifics, but over a certain size (mine was 36”) Top Flight recommends a swivel. I have personally seen a rocket on an X-chute deploy perfectly and then start to spin and turned into a very poor streamer, ruined the rocket. The flier (he was L-2) was cussing himself out (post flight) for not putting on a swivel.

I had a wonderful flight of my Interceptor E with a nice soft recovery with a 36” X-chute and a swivel.

Teddy at @Onebadhawk sells good ones at a reasonable price and fast shipping.
