Awesome truck. But where does the drone swarm hive fit?

My Drone(s) can be stored between the TailGate and the bed extender flipped backward inside the bed to pen them in (or groceries). The gate will lower on shocks once it's un-latched, so would need to add a Servo to trigger that, Hi Hi

The under seat storage is one of the things I really miss from my Tundra. I had jumper cables big enough to support jumping another truck and long enough to go the full length from my battery to a truck parked behind me, a small tool kit with full set of wrenches and socket set and multiple pliers and screw drivers, a first aid kit that was only slightly less stocked than an ambulance and a fleece blanket. The 2 30ft tow straps were behind the seat along with the 1200watt inverter and my long guns (12ga and a .22)

The rear seat storage on the Tundra is simply awesome.

You got that right! Honestly, the arm rest storage is great, the multiple other compartments are also well done, IMO. I think their staff said 'Dead space? Make a storage compartment!'

I read of a mod on the rear seats some audio guys do where they grind off part of the latch that holds the rear backs in place so they can be easily popped up and the rear seats fold down. They'd put subs and amps back there, gaining another bit of usable space. I'm sure it would be a safety issue to actually do it, and if anyone ever got hurt because of it, that would be terrible, but I considered doing the mod for a little while. In the end, I left everything 100% stock.

There was an after-market vault for the center console for the 2012 that I had. It'd bolt in from inside the vault so it couldn't be removed without a cutting torch, had support for 2 locks and had space for 4 handguns. It still left about 3 inches of space above it so you could put stuff on top of it to conceal it if someone opened the console lid.

And the hidden storage next to the gear shifter. The 2 cup holders would lift up and had room under it.

The front cab had spots for at least 6 different sets of sunglasses for some reason too. Never understood that.

There is still room under the cups and shifter, one person installed a 2 meter radio in that area of the console I saw on a youtube video.

My 2004 Ford Ranger EDGE has been pretty good for the most part, but at some point I've replaced just about everything on the truck and I'm at 185k right now. I agree I prefer manual transmissions. Just wish my truck was a 4x4. Not even sure correct me if I'm wrong if you can get a 4x4 with a manual transmission? I think a lot of them came with automatics? Not sure? My sister has a Ford Ranger like mine, but's a few years newer 2007 I think that hopefully I'll be able to buy it and its a 4x4. New rangers not real excited about the body or the price.

When I got my "98" I had to choose between 3.0L Manual or 4.0 Auto.
My "94" was 4.0L Manual 4X4, (came with them flawed Firestone's A/T's out of Indiana, replaced them at 30k miles) and I really wanted the 4.0, but...I Needed the extended cab. In "99" I believe they released it with 4 doors for easier access.
Payment wise at the time, I went with extended cab over the 4X4, but I could still get the Manual if I went 4X4 with the 3.0L.
Today, you get no choice. They are all 4 door Turbo V6's with (I think) 10 speed Auto's.
I might lease one, but would never buy one.
I wish the days gone by would come back where you could walk into a dealership, sit down with sales person, and order just what you want and 3 months later pick up your new vehicle. Everything is packaged now, and it sucks.
While I want cruise, tilt & air, I don't want more things that can go wrong like power windows, seats, mirrors or even heated seats or glass. Less to repair and maintain is more money left in your pockets. And Insurance is more on all those things.
