Howdy all,
Just a reminder that QCRC will be having their February club launch the 27th and 28th. Yep, Saturday AND Sunday. Now you have no excuses to not make the launch. 10 day forcast looks favorable so far, but we know how accurate those are...:rolleyes:
So please, come early and leave late. We appreciate the help with set up and tear down...
Launches start at 9 AM ish (the more help we get setting up, the quicker we start) and run until I get bored or people quit flying (or maybe weather shuts us down like December...), or 4PM ish... Which ever comes first...:D:cool:

So... What are you gonna bring? Besides snow shoes??? I've got an idea or two. Nothing super exciting. Yet...

I’m going to be there on Saturday. Of the two days, Saturday looks like the better weather (at least that’s the forecast....). Not sure what I’m bringing yet, depends on if I get anything finished before then.

I’ll probably only be able to get there one of the days per event. 😑

Got my WM 5” Goblin prepped and ready in case there’s a rogue Nobile sparky motor needing a hiding place... 😎

Awesome!! Just remember to attach the chute :)

I have my WM 5" Goblin, but it's still in the box - the one that I ordered in January. Haven't even started working on it yet :(

make sure to check the Facebook page for launch updates in the morning .
I was out trying to clear the road all afternoon. we are having a meeting in a little while to discus options for flying the next couple days .

Really fantastic weather today!!. Somehow I still ended up walking half a mile to my rocket even with such light upper level winds.

But it really was an awesome day to fly and it was great to see so many people turn out. I guess I should have put that sunscreen on after all.... got a bit of sunburn on the face and neck.

GPS + Google Maps makes things easier:

But it was still a long walk from the road

Here's another shot of the "moonscape snow."

And I finally got to the rocket after a few stops along the way :)

Lucky that I didn't end up in a tree or in the creek back there.

Wow!! Two goblins stuck the landing!! 😲

That's just a testament to just how still the air was. And clear - you could see the high level flights all the way past apogee just fine. I still can't get over just how great the weather was for us finally!!
