Wrote most of a LUA script yesterday to cycle the fin servos (visual test) on my VTS, then sit waiting for boost, engage stabilise during coast, and then back to neutral at the end of the flight.

A little more work on the flight hardware integration also.

And since im in this thread... yesterday i finished (all but paint), my 4” Wildman DarkStar. Now time to clean up my trashed shop!

Wow, I like this rocket. It reminds me of the fin design of the LOC Athena rocket that I have . The fin arrangement is different. Is it a 75mm motor? What kind of altitude can you get with this? Very nice work. Also is a photo of my 29mm Arcon rocket ready for paint.Athena-Cut-1_1024x1024.jpgAthena-Cut-1_1024x1024.jpg

A tranquil day (real word, I just looked it up).

Over the last few days, I used florist‘s glue, which is transparent, for the upper cups of my decafeinator. Built according to the printed directions with neither bells nor whistles.

Here it is sharing a frame with a door.

For some reason, I feel like having a cup of tea now.

Finally finishing up my red rocket. It's taken over a year but worth it:

Last night my brother-in-law came up and we jammed the nose weight clay down into the nose cone. Then we attached a heavy hank of kevlar shock cord gifted to my by @prfesser when I first joined. A good man and true! But something was bugging me; we've had discussions on nose weight or ballast lately and I recalled reading something about heating the clay. I found it on this post over here. We have one of those "hot shot" counter top hot water heaters, so today I got the narrowest glass I could find (my wife's favorite little flowered juice glass, it really is a pretty little thing), used water just short of boiling, and stuck the nose cone down in it. Viola! Beautifully molded clay, nice and level and fully conformed, in the tip of the nose cone. Thanks to @jqavins for the tip and my pretty little wife for the use of her pretty little juice glass.

Another titebond fillet on the engine tube and shock cord mount since I was there, then I called it a day. Real ball'o'fire, ain't I? ;)

ordered mine with 54mm mount but you can get it with a 75. Not sure of max altitude but with a 75mm mount im sure it will go full send.

Nice job. Great color Blue and decals. I haven't seen a 6 fin rocket since my Mini NCR Katana that I bought years ago.
Thanks. I’m a big fan of rockets with more than 4 fins. My L1 & L2 was a Quicksilver with 6 fins. I also build a Hi-Flier XL with 6 fins and a pentagon-shaped 3D printed rocket with 5.

They’re not great for optimum drag, but they look cool!

Joy in the mailbox. My LiPo batteries and charger arrived in the mail. Time to do some soldering...

Horizon Models WRESAT arrived to challenge my PMC skills. I'll unbox it after doing some more chores.

'Two-up' got a well deserved paint job to go with her stock nose cone. I'll ask the local Fire Brigade Captain for a burn permit next week. I have prototypes to test!

Dibs on the roo mate!

54mm Applewhite Stealth on a CTI J140 W LB. Much more spectacular on a J145 SK LB. Have a 32mB high speed video of the launch. An absolute knee trembler.
Krusty from Vic did the sticker work.
Cheers and allocate one of them Two-ups to me,
Mark
