After hearing a lot of buzz on another group about how awesome this rocket is, I had to cave and get one. I also got the ebay to make it dual deploy. Mine came with a nice Y harness for shock cord attachment. I beveled the fins on this one. 20201229_145038.jpg20201229_162528.jpg20201229_163942.jpg20201229_170103.jpg20201229_191457.jpg20201229_192700.jpg20201229_192705.jpg20201229_195031.jpg20201229_201533.jpg20201229_201538.jpg

Good kit. I like the beefy 2.2" LOC tubing. The Vulcanite was my first one-mile breaker. 7000+ feet on a CTI I26.

Edit: I think I did my fins the opposite way with more sweep rearward.

very nice

absolutely love this kit!!!

had one in the mid 90's that i hung about 40' up in a tree. might need to "bring it back" if ya know what i mean.

I went back and forth on the fin direction. I liked how they looked this way better. 😆

I changed mine up a bit. The top section was only 11" and the nose cone and ebay ate up about 6 of those inches. I did not like the way the shock cord and parachute fit in it so I cut 5.5" off the bottom tube and added it to the top tube. Everything fits so much better now. It also moved the ebay down and that helped move the cg back a bit also.20210101_203528.jpg20210101_203537.jpg20210101_204545.jpg

I attacked the problem differently, because I want to fly it on bigger motors, so I just added a longer payload tube.
I was going to do that but I didn't want to spend more money and wait for an order to show up in the mail. Even with the biggest motor I can run, it is still stable.

nice paint job. I had let my then 4 year old son pick our colors, hence the name "morning after bad Thai food"

The Vulcanite and the Nuke Pro are two of LOC's best without a doubt. I have a Nuke and abused it pretty good. One day I'll build a Vulcanite. I really like the refinements they've done recently.
