APOLOGIES TO AMWPROX.... I just went and looked again this morning. Their site seems "same-but-different" somehow AND it DOES have PayPal and Credit Card options.... So maybe they were having technical issues on NOV 15th.

dpower, if you don't mind let me know if/when you get a shipment notice. Mine were ordered direct with Quest on Nov. 20th. Checked with Customer service and they still have not shipped.
Now with Black Friday and Cyber Monday shipping volumes with the carriers, I am getting a feeling, I won't see them anytime soon....disappointed if I can't fly them before the weather turns, and I have to wait till spring.
 
Any chance we'll see more white lightning Economax/Econojet 24mm-29mm motors from Aerotech again like the 24mm F21 and 29mm G35? Became a BAR during the era of F20/G35 Econojets and the 24mm F21 which came a bit later was fun as well.

As it currently stands, only the E20 and F20 fit into that category.

Placed order on 11/22, got shipping notice on 11/23. Actual ship date was 11/28.
 
You may see other similar motors in the future, but they won't be branded Econojet/Economax.

In November, I was at a launch and someone needed a delay adjustment tool to drill their delay. I knew I had one, but when I went to drill, it was very different. I reviewed the document included with reloads and it specified a type of drilling tool. Looked different than mine and was named differently.

The one I have, is the one I received when AT was trying out the EZ delay or whatever it was. These are the ones that kept getting "surprise" delays. I wonder if my drilling tool should be pitched - it is named "UNIVERSAL DELAY DRILLING TOOL"... Should I get rid of this one?

I think that one is for DMS motors also, but not RMS reloads with regular delays.
I think... I don’t have them in front of me to confirm.
 
That tool is the one now used for the DMS motors as the previous post mentioned. It can also be used with the EZ delay bulkhead included with the mailable 38mm J520W reload.

dpower, you will have to let me know how they fly. My order placed on Nov 20th still not shipped. Customer service just told me it could take up to 4 weeks to ship, add to it holiday transit times, maybe they will be here for spring launches. :(

Glad yours got out in a timely manner, since they were showing boxes, and boxes as "on the shelf for immediate shipment"...

I HOPE this means that they are selling LOTs of them and justifies them continuing to expand the 18mm line, as talked about a number of posts back were Aerotech said "There are lots of plans. But we need to sell some of these brand new motors first!"

Seconding this request. I'm working on a group project that ideally involves a cluster of at least 8 I49's or I59's, and it would be nice to not have to buy a ton of endburn-only closures.

I too would love to be able to fly the I59 with my existing hardware (38/600 with RAS), instead of buying another case and forward closure.

Anyone have a schematic of the end burn closure? I see that's it's different but I wonder if a plugged closure would suffice?
 
Been there, done that. Here is a picture of my L1 rocket with an I59 in a 38/480 Dr. Rockets casing and a plugged forward closure:

I've flown it's clone at least a dozen times with the correct closure, it's a great long burn motor!
 
I was going to ask... Can someone post up at least a photo of the end burning forward closure? I don't think I have one but who knows... Maybe I have one and don't know it!
 
I have several inert forward closures I use for Rx motors. Take standard plugged closure, fill delay well with epoxy. Use as end burn closure and fly at research launch (not certified).

The J1299 is a 54 mm bates grain. Uses standard closure. The J99 is an end burner. There is an insert for the plugged closure for use as an end burn closure. It also uses the small hole rear closure and a 29 mm nozzle.
