So how do I post questions and stuff? I do have a question.. I wanna install a crepe paper streamer to my shockcord I'm pretty sure I won't be able to tie it lol. So anyone know how I can attach it? Please help.

First off, Hi.

As for streamer, my suggestion would be packing tape directly to cord, or to install a loop of some kind on the streamer. Depends on cord material which I would choose.

I’m assuming low power rocket here.

Familiarize yourself with the different sections of the forum. Qhen you have a question, go to the section that's most relevant, and start a thread there.

For example, you have a question about streamers which is a Recovery topic.

Welcome.
As mentioned, questions are best posted to what seems like the most applicable forum.

One trick for streamers, tape the end to a straw or long launch lug.

Run a loop through the straw.

Attach the loop to your shock cord.

You can tie the loop directly to your cord. Some people like to use a snap swivel so they can change them quickly.

Great advise from everybody so far, but for cheap and easy it's hard to beat good ol' masking tape.

Just stick a small piece of masking tape to one end of the streamer, wrap it around the shock cord and stick it to the other side of the streamer. Good to go...

There are lots of different ways to get something done. Half the fun of this place is seeing how different folks approach the same problem.

Oh, and we like pictures; LOTS of pictures...

Thanks for the advice. Only time I fly is on Sunday morning around 6:30AM lol only day off i work 6days a week. the park I fly in gets packed b4 9AM I work nights so Sunday that early works out great. But this Sunday gonna spend time building one. Just recently bought the Mean Machine. And the mini mean machine. Just wanted to attach some streamers to the smaller rockets .. I lost one last week yep the good ol wind grabbed it when the chute deployed all I could do was watch and say goodbye lol

Another option for the smaller rockets is to cut a small hole in the middle of the chute so it does not drift away so much.

Excellent suggestion from Glen. I have backup 12" and 15" RSN parachutes with a circular "vent" in the top about 1 1/2" across. They come in handy on windier days or when smaller fields demand less drift. You can also "reef" a parachute by restricting the shroud lines about 1/2 way between the connection point and the parachute using either tape or a zip tie. This generally restricts the parachute from opening to it's full diameter so it catches less air. I've actually reefed one of the vented chutes on an occasion where prior launches on that day resulted in 1/4 mile recovery treks.
