It helps hold the delay assembly in place. If the delay remains fully seated in the bulkhead it will likely work. If the motor has been dropped or bumped, it could move out of position and hot gas could leak past it. As someone suggested, you might want to use it in a saucer.

So how important is that thrust washer in a G79 29mm loadable Aerotech Motor? It fell out of the casing while I was epoxying and didn't notice until it was too late...
 
What size bolt is needed to fit a tapped 75mm forward closure? I screwed in a 5/16" x18 bolt and it initially was very loose then tightened up when it hit bottom. Is 5/16th correct?

Developmental static test today of a new 18mm diameter C15-8W Q-Jet™ motor. We announced the White Lightning™ Q-Jets at NARCON in Tucson in early March. This motor will be as close to 10.0 N-sec total impulse as possible. A 'D'-impulse version (a D20W) in the same 18mm casing has also been tested at ~14 N-sec. Final delay tests and submittal for certification will be completed soon!

What about White Thunder (W), similar to what D13 (W) that is pushing mid-19's Ns?
Any chance we might see an 18mm E (20+Ns) Q-jet motors in the future?

The WL in the Q-Jets is a faster version of what is in the D13W.

Can't get more than a mid-D in that particular case due to design and performance constraints.

Blue thunder in the 18mm is already tried and true. Endburner BT could be higher thrust and more total propellant.
 
Not sure in the Q-Jet case, which is more heat sensitive. Plus we are limited to a 0.090" throat to get the FirstFire Micro in.

Do You think 20+ newton second Q-jet motors could be made with endburners (to get higher volumetric loading) with propellants such as Warp-9 or Super Thunder?

That would be nice, but not enough room in the case... I asked Garok about longer motors, but they are too much of a niche market and won't fit standard Quest or Estes kits... That's why I make my own 18mm E-Motors. (Yes I'm level 2 Certified) I currently have 2, E24 BLackJack, and E82 Blue Thunder...
 
We have designed a new 75mm single-throat nozzle that is intended to replace the Medusa nozzle used on many of the smaller (and larger long-burn) 75mm AeroTech RMS reload kits. Recently we decided to only use the center Medusa nozzle on the smaller 75mm reloads so that they would work properly in CTI hardware in “Crossloads” mode (if the outer Medusa nozzles are used in CTI hardware the exhaust from them would impinge on the aft closure and likely melt it). However, because of the relatively small exit diameter, using only the center Medusa nozzle reduces the expansion ratio in many cases and causes performance to suffer a bit. The single throat in this new nozzle with a larger exit diameter will allow a decent expansion ratio to be maintained. We will be running this change by Alan at TMT before including them in the production reload kits. Would it be possible to list out which motors specifically? I think there are only like 25 motors in 75mm from Aerotech, and the whole crossload deal has sort of come to market in chunks (some have stickers, some do not, tough to find authoritative information )

I have a K1100 and K560 with stickers, would have expected those were medusa but they look to be single throat altho they are much older than this new announcement
 
K1100 is 54mm. I assume you meant the K1000.
