Update on Mar/30's post:
Fiancée and I got married yesterday on May the Fourth! Having realized that all traditional plans would have wrinkles due to travel and stay-at-homes etc.... we figured we could get married virtually and legally before my lease was up in July, and hold a reception for folks once travel is a thing again. And if we could move it up anyway, we couldn't come up with any reason not to do it on Star Wars day either.

(New York jeweler we were using still has business delays, so her custom rings aren't done yet, but we made do for now!) Honeymoon was supposed to be DC and some Appalachian camping, but we'll get to that eventually.

Got most of my clothes and foodstuffs moved in over the weekend, rockets and inconvenient furniture articles will remain for future trips (only a couple blocks away, and we've got a couple months to empty and clean the place! Very low stress)

Rocket perks!:
-Rocket work room, aka spare bedroom (cat free space)
-Backyard for painting and ground testing (if the nose busts through the gate, it's too much powder)

Congratulations!

May the Fourth be with you. ( The Catholic in me always wants to say “And also with you.” )

Well done, sir.

Your child bride knows about your fascination with rockets, right? Haha!

Even better.

Live well. Be happy.

Having swung our heavier cast iron frying pan a few times, I can believe d6 damage. I might be willing to buy d8 or d12. Those suckers are heavy.
On average, 1d12 will kill a zero level NPC with a single hit more than half the time. It sure would hurt getting hit with one of those, but I don't buy more than d6.

As someone once said (I think it was Garrison Keillor, but I'm not too sure) "They shall beat their swords into plowshares, because when you hit a guy with a plowshare he knows he's been hit."

May the Fourth be with you. ( The Catholic in me always wants to say “And also with you.” )
It doesn't take a Catholic. I've said it myself, and I'm a lapsed Jew married to a mostly lapsed Catholic Light Episcopalian.

Congratulations! I've been happily married for 24 years...and as Dad used to say, "24 out of 38 ain't bad." 🤪

If you've not already done so, you need to settle the question of which of you is the boss. The Wife and I settled that almost 40 years ago. *I* am the boss in my home. Wife said I could be. 😉

Best -- Terry
Seriously...may you live a long life, and love as long as you live.

David, save those feathers for us fly tiers! :D

(you could make a few $$ if you sell them on line, or to the local fishing store!)

Been doing it since I was a boy. Grew up on the farm and opening day of deer hunting would take like 10 minutes. Took up shooting a bow and have never looked back. My son also very into bowhunting, so I am lucky that he loves something that I do also. Never to old to start you know. Pretty sure you'd have good hunting where you are.

Hey Doc, normally I would give you as many as you'd like. But he went to taxidermist yesterday. My son is still hunting. If he gets one and is just going to save the fan, I will get them for you.

Built a new table for my 3D Printer "Station" and to better organize my rocket "lab" in my wife and I's bedroom (she got the former dining room as her "office" space) and I get as much space as I can get away with in our room as my "office". It was all built out of left over pieces of material from other projects, the top and apron (just under top) is 1/2" Baltic Birch ply and the legs and feet are hemlock/fir/pine aka 2x4 material, all stained dark walnut and given a coat of wax.

Oh yeah, we've got some pretty good hunting around here, I've just never been after it with a bow!

Been shooting a bow on and off for years but if I had to depend on my archery skills for food I'd probably have to resort to vegetarianism 😨(Sorry, the thought just gave me a cold shiver...).

Must admit though, when I see you bowhunters I start to feel like me and my rifle are cheating...;)

Hey Mugs, I have had them damn eggplants move on me at the last second though:). I hear all the time about the guy that took the 500 yard shot. Which, don't get me wrong, that is a great shot. But I like doing it at 10 feet. Had a bear come in one night I could have touched it with my arrow nocked. Had to let it walk towards the bait to get a better shot .

Hi Rich, that looks pretty nice. But can I ask what it is your spool of filament sitting on? Not the roller but the thing that looks like a solder station?

That's the CR-10v2 Control box, as of yesterday the spool has moved into the drybox, the slack in the filament is caused by the fact that I was reloading it at the time and waiting for the hotend to heat. It contains the motherboard, controllers and power supply. The white thing on the side is a SD card extender housing that doesn't work like I want, in order to get the card to read after inserting it into the extension I have to click the extenders "card" in and out of the stock port, so eventually I will remove the extender as its useless.

<raises hand>

That is one of the best tools in 3D printing. It makes the first layer stick like a champ when warm, AND aids removal of the printed part after it cools.

Not since the high bangs Jersey mall hair of the 80s has Aqua Net been so important.

EDIT: I just noticed you are from Jersey.

The last couple of days I've been learning about the de Havilland Mosquito, one of the most important airplanes of WWII. It was the first fighter/bomber, was made out of wood, had twin 12 cyclinder Rolls-Royce Merlin engines, & could fly 400+ MPH. It was a light bomber, a fighter, an anti-submarine plane, reconnoissance plane, and a pathfinder for larger bomber missions. It was very fast & tough.

My absolute favorite plane!! the wooden wonder! And also became Churchill's preferred method of getting around.. (he apparently had one at his disposal for transport)

Give this a read. It's quick, but gives a pretty good account of being in the 'starboard seat' [the 'Alligator'!] on one..

One of my two favorites as well the other being the P-38 Lightning, must be the twin engines and central mounted firepower.
