Guys,

I want to thank each one of you for helping maintain my sanity (or what is left of it). I could have easily turned to booze or pills to cope with the stress. You have served as an excellent stress release as a comedown off a stressful day or week.

Heck, you have even helped me frame messaging to local dignitaries that feel they should be tested despite a lack of symptoms. You have asked the difficult question to prepare me for the same questions at work. I hope none of us get this dreadful virus.

I want to thank you for your posts, for the time yo took to respond to every question in an objective and unbiased way.
It gives me a good feeling, that persons like you are out there and taking care.
Somehow like a lighthouse in the dark.

Chuck,
You’re welcome of course and I am delighted that our conversations haven’t added to your already too large burden, but you’re doing a lot more for most us. Being able to ask questions and discuss our fears is helpful to dealing with them. So thank you even more!

Hopefully we helped more than hindered.

I said it before and it bears repeating, you’re a good man, Chuck.

I appreciate your questions and answers as well too. I know the side of healthcare I see, but not the larger scope that people in your position do. We get some of the same and similar comments to us from your counterparts in our hospital and your comments help frame their guidance as well.

Chuck, you are being the one I read to see what to believe in the great internet with lots of different opinions.
Thanks and I sure am glad that TRF is being a stress reliever and helping you to get your answers to others polished and concise.

Sooooooo.... we asked all the silly questions the dignitaries did?;)

Always glad to help!

Glad you are one of the helmsmen for your region. Bumps ahead, but eventually this will be in the rear view mirror!

Chuck,
It amazes me how much time you are spending responding to many, many threads on this forum, especially after the amount of time I know you are working everyday during this crisis. I always look to your posts for well informed, unbiased information. Thank You for all your efforts.

Chuck, you’re a great example of someone being of service in a time of need!

Actually, initially, I was working 7x14-16 hour shifts a week. Now that I have a plan up and running, I am required to take time off. I am now only working 4-5 fourteen-hour shirts. I am actually bored.

The other thing is I am stuck in Augusta GA and cannot travel home to my family. The GOV order and the local general have ordered us to shelter in place or isolate when not at work or shopping for essentials.

Wow, you're like right there by my brother. His team was just recalled, so he's heading back to Atlanta tonight. He does IT but his unit has something to do with medical. I don't ask him for too many details b/c there's stuff he can't talk about so I don't probe too much. Are you in the military, or a civilian doctor?

Military. A big portion of my physicians and nurses were activated to respond to COVID for NY and overseas.

Thanks Chuck!

Thank you. Eight years ago, I made a decision to transition to administration. Doing that move from being a frontline clinician was the toughest move I have ever made. It is also the best move I have ever made. I now rate and mentor over 1200 medical professionals. Some are primary care, some are first responders, some nurses some are specialists, and others are surgeons. They are the real heroes. I am just the glue that keeps them together and marching forward.

I sometimes wonder if you haven’t programmed an AI to answer questions and post replies. I don’t understand how you can still have time to visit TRF. But I, like so many others here, are very grateful that you do. Your voice of reason has been very calming in this time of craziness.

Stay safe and healthy.

Funny. Is that like military intelligence?
