Mach1 Alien Interceptor Dual Deploy

It was brutally cold for flying this weekend but I did manage to get a couple of flights in on a new build that has become a test bed for a few things. The kit is a BT-20 Alien Interceptor from Mach1. It is filament wound fiberglass and set up to fly dual deploy with a streamer & 12" chute combination. It also flew a new prototype of our GPS tracker that is in the works and was my first flight off of a micro rail (10mm MakerBeam). Got to fly C6-5s and a D16-8 in it.

It's really exciting to see new technology coming into low power. Makes for some fun flying even at our relatively small east coast fields.

I just ordered one of these to fly at a smaller field. Just curious, what are you using to retain the motor?

I'm just using tape. One wrap around the motor so it is a snug fit and then leave about 1/4" sticking out the back and put another wrap around across the body tube & motor on the outside.

Russ, thanks! Looking forward to this one. Any idea when the altimeter you used will be available? Until that point, I'll just do single deploy.
