Laters...........

So, yeah, I got caught up in some "politics" that had NOTHING to do with me or my rocketry and got a little hot headed.
Absolutely MY FAULT!!!

Sometimes I get caught up in things/arguments/subjects that make TRF un-fun.
Absolutely MY FAULT!!!

I"m going to fly with my "jets at idle" here and leave all the conflicts to those that
are conflicting and let Darwin figure it out!
LOL

TRF is a great resource, ABSOLUTELY!!!
Wish I would have found it BEFORE I started building...

The “Ignore” button is your friend.

...and it’s invisible to everyone (except you) including the person being ignored.

Hmmmm...guess I outed myself as an Ignore button user...,[shrug]

Yes Sir, I had no idea that there was an ignore button, but that seems like it kinda defeats the purpose of the whole point of having a forum of fellow rocketry enthusiasts coming together for a common goal, to share and learn and guide other fellow rocketry enthusiasts.
Why would I need a "button" to ignore.....

I have on more than one occasion outed myself as being not much more than an ASS.

I don't want to do that anymore, this resource is here to progress the state of rocketry, not to feed or crush egos.
I will try to the best of my abilities to ignore posts that have no concern to me or rocketry
by CLOSING THE PAGE AND NOT REPLYING!!!

It's hard not to offer up your opinion on things that people ought to be able to talk about civilly. But TRF is a place where we just don't.

From first hand experience I know that keeping my mouth shut is very difficult for me.

They always said I had Asperger’s. In hindsight, they were probably right. I had model train layouts as a child and built a Van De Graff generator as a child...just like Sheldon. The Tesla coil was probably a bit too much, tho.

The ignore button simply makes it more difficult to see posts by a person who gets under your skin or who perpetually irritates you. It doesn’t prevent you from following a conversation. I use it, but pretty sparingly (two people whose posts I simply don’t care to see.). It helps with my peace of mind.

The ignore button is very useful, no doubt I’m on some folks ignore list. I also try and not click on threads that aren’t rocket related and are likely to veer off into a non-sensical discussion. On many occasions I’ve written posts, read them back to myself, and then deleted them and closed the browser window. I got it out of my system without doing any harm. Time consuming but it works for me.

Kudos to you sir, that is a level of internet self-discipline that most folks lack.
