wife addicted to diet coke

does not mean pot is chemically addictive (its not)

I know Coffee sure is, I'm on my 5th cup;)

You can reduce your dependence by switching to espresso. I only have 1 cup of coffee bean derived product a day, the cup has 7 shots of espresso in it, but it is only 1 cup. 1 < 5, see how well that works...I wonder if I will ever blink again. o_O

I think the article is confusing true physical addiction, like you could have with opioids, cocaine, alcohol, or nicotine, with a psychological dependence or compulsion, like you can have with certain foods, sex, social media, or many other things. I don’t think marijuana is physically addictive, or if it is, it’s only mildly so, like caffeine. You aren’t going to go through a serious physical withdrawal process giving up weed, even if you are very dependent.

That said, I’ve known a few people who were pretty dependent on weed to the point it cut into other aspects of their life, so that’s real. But I’ve known many pot smokers over the years, and most kept a good balance in their lives. In the world of possible drugs you could choose, including alcohol and nicotine, it’s pretty benign.

I remember a friend telling me a story of one night on the job (He was a bouncer for a girlie bar..) One of the patrons told him: "don't worry, it's not coke.."

what these three "gentlemen" were doing, was something called 'eye shots': Tequila shots, but with a twist..
  1. snort the salt
  2. do the shot
  3. squeeze the lime / lemon in your eye..
Yeah, some people..
