Is there an OpenRocket File Repository? (and in particular, an Honest John nose cone.ork)

Is there a collection somewhere online where people can upload and download OpenRocket design files of production model rockets? Seems like there should be a great big collection somewhere (based on performance instead of graphics).

I don't really mind building my own simulations, but it could save a lot of time if the thousand or more people who bought say a Saturn V this year could just download a file and customize it to match their own model, instead of everyone starting a new file from scratch.

I made simulations for most of my collection, but I'm not quite sure how to handle this Honest John nose cone in OpenRockets. Any tips appreciated.

Look for K'Tesh's thread. Start here: https://www.rocketryforum.com/threads/kteshs-openrocket-files-index.148212/

I'm not sure of the exact profile of the HoJo nose cone, but it looks to me like an ogive nose, followed by a short piece of ogive transition, followed by a conical transition. Using multiple simple pieces to assemble complex geometries is pretty standard practice in OR.

I'm at work right now... So I can can't post the link. Do a search for
OpenRocket nosecone library and then look for the HoJo nosecone.

I've got the Estes BT-55 HoJo sim done except for the decals.. the Estes BT-60 has been delayed because I couldn't find the retainer or my micrometer. I've found the micrometer, and now have a workaround for the retainer. But I can't work on the sim until I get home.

I've only had to do simple shapes until now. Good to know you can mix and match.

I saw you had a serious amount of OR material here. Apparently, the time has come for me to look into it. Seems to be a good starting point: https://www.rocketryforum.com/threads/kteshs-openrocket-nosecone-library.61581/page-3#post-743633

Once I've simulated the CP and installed a baffle, I'll start painting. In the meantime, I'll also be looking for scale decals (white markings for olive drab).

(based on the Peter Alway dwg which has been reposted numerous times)
The HoJo transition is BTdia * 2.36 long and flares to BTdia * 1.311.
The nose is a 1:3 ogive.
So for a BT-60, your transition will be 3.87" long, 1.64" dia at the base and 2.15" at the flare.
Your nose will be 6.45" long and the whole assy will be 8.79". Add shoulder length and you're all set!
