Push tab down slide on gun. It locked in easy... Don’t know what your moaning about. So here is excellent news. The lasermax 5mW is eye visible with the 1000 lumen Surefire. I only tested the light for the photo but trust my word on it. Arms Unlimited has these free shipping for $192 if you need an X300U on the cheap. They advertise it as 600 lumen but I got the 1000 lumen.

Okay Surefire X300U micro real world review... Last night at 1:18 am I awoke to car alarms, yelling, punch noises etc. I pulled the light off my HK and opened door X300UA only in hand. I asked problem? The neighbors entangled in a fist fight said yeah. They turned at me. The dinner plate size hot spot was so freaking bright it blinded them and they could not continue throwing punches at each other. I later pointed the 1000 lumen light at myself after I went inside mainly wondering what caused them to stop punching so fast and my own eyes hurt for two minutes. They went inside pissed off but issue was resolved without a gun or a cop. So if you want a tiny flashlight to fry retinas with get a Surefire... This was about twenty yards pitch black night sky. Nice lights. Expensive... But bright... Who knew a tiny little flashlight could literally stop a fist fight!!!

Lasermax guide rod review. 650 rounds later. The gun didn’t jam with it installed using 115 gr fmj CCI blazer or 124 gr fmj Browning. The accuracy was tested at 7, 15, and twenty yards with guide rod laser only vs irons. Here’s the irony. I shot better with irons and another user shot better with laser??? Guys figure that one out: lol. We noticed I was dipping muzzle low while dry firing laser. 3mm to 1/8”. For me at twenty yards it was a train wreck on the laser side of things... The other shooter did cool with laser at 15 yards better than irons and offered to buy my gun which I told him to go buy his own. When using laser we used the range lane splitter as like a corner obstacle freehanded in awkward positions. (Something where using irons exposes more of your body)...

I’m not saying it was a waste of money, but at this point I’m not saying it was worth the money. What I will say is as a training aid it allows to see how you screw up at longer ranges with minute like precisions in various grips or trigger errors. And also shooting a handgun laser only feels extremely freaking weird when not using irons, not doing arms extended, but doing exactly that weirdness allows laser to be used when irons can’t be used. To me it feels like there is a laser learning curve for sure. Basically I need more 309 batteries and rounds downrange to judge it better. You feel more situation aware than just focusing on front sights of irons when using laser only. The con is any user grip/trigger errors will wildly screw with your elevation point of impact at the 15/20 yard zone even though the dot is exactly center of target. Windage seemed fine and not drifting even after that many rounds. Other laser owners comment their systems non lasermax lost zero after four rounds. Ugh. Okay wall of text aside here was my experience. First time trying a laser on a handgun. Usual was 45 round groups. Please Excuse the multiple posts and long winded rant.

Twenty yards laser. My muzzle down issue was super bad out here. Look how low it is. (Factory claims zeroed for 20 yards). I think it’s a me issue not it issue.

Pushing it out to where I suck. The dreaded twenty yards. Twenty yards irons.

Can we PLEASE get off of defending the 45 auto????
45 ACP at USPSA all day. Especially with Zombie green bullets.

Me likes BIG calibers, just in case I haven't mentioned that before....:D

Most times Magnum calibers are for people that just hope to hit what there shooting at. A well placed shot from a smaller cartridge is way better than a nick by a S&W.500

So it's improbable for big bullets to hit what they have been aimed at? Huh.

It is, when people think Magnum calibers will make up for lack of proficiency. Or they end up afraid to pull the trigger, flinching and miss. To often see hunters that are not able to place shots were they are needed. They go to the super magnum calibers hoping a poor shot will yield good results.

Gee, I always thought .45ACP was a big caliber. Hmmm.Tony

Big bore, light projectile and low velocity. Makes for a easy shooting gun with just sufficient energy for USPSA major power rating. Don't need anything more than whats needed.

There's a couple magnums in my safe. 30-378 Weatherby and 300 Weatherby. Usually overkill for the task and end up staying in the safe.

I was also able to get the club championship again this year using light target loads.

Polymer 80 build, G17. Not one single Glock factory part in it. Shoots like a dream. Purpose built as a host for my Omega 9K.

Another of my hosts for the 9K.

Nice CZ, those shoot great.

Considering I just moved to a state that is suppressor friendly, I may take that plunge next year. How bad is the tax stamp process for class 3 (asking for a friend). :)

A great way to spend a nice fall afternoon, target shooting with old and new. Classic Series 70 Colt and a DW Valor 1911. The Valor is a phenomenal shooter, but the Colt just has so much class. The 1911 is a great target pistol.

(Federal ammo is a bit dirty - looks bad but just wipes off)

Justin try the silencershop.com, Just got done going through there process and now I am waiting. If a store near you has one of their Kiosks it really pretty simple and they take care of filling your paper work.

It's still a year or so wait last time I checked.

Okay guys I got a 2000 round case of Fiocchi 9mm and we took the Hytrol conveyor crew out to range today. Some afghan war vets joined in. At 700 rounds the lasermax started doing FTF once every ten rounds. Nobody had accuracy issues within ten yards with it. After two hundred rounds in laser then I put the Factory OEM HK guide rod back on. No issues with OEM recoil spring. With lasermax it wasn’t pulling slide forward by 1:8”. OEM: It’s slightly stiffer. So I sent out an email to lasermax. With all due respect to lasermax it’s their first HK guide rod laser and there’s bound to be some engineering gremlins in it. Honestly if they just up the spring force I think it’ll be just as fine as OEM. Now the OEM guide rod on HK VP9 was as stiff as vp40 lately. These pistols were bought this year. So latest OEM variant. I shot about 1300 rounds today. Last I read was the OEM Hk recoil spring is rated for 10k rounds and I got 7850 rounds through one gun. I wanted to shoot more but everyone else got tired. I got some bills to pay this month so I splurged on ammo rather than buying another gun.

got my son a 6.5 creedmoor for hunting...and maybe fun at the range. Can't wait to get it zero'd in...
