I am currently working on a 1:3 Scale of our Space Shot Rocket, which will hopefully come out later this month or the first week in November.

This rocket has a 75mm Body Tube and a 54mm MMT, and is 88” tall. The rocket will include a SCP Thrust Plate machined from billet aluminum and a 4.5” beautiful aluminum tip. I am working on the limited edition certificates, which will be signed by Ky Michaelson, Jerry Larson and Bruce Lee, founders of the CSXT Team.

For those that do not know; the CSXT Team was the first civilians in the world to successfully put a rocket into space and fully recover it. The rocket had went 72 miles up and 3,420mph on May 17th, 2004. This is the 15th anniversary kit.

The GoFast Rocket kit will be limited to only 100 kits, and is dual deploy with black and red colored fiberglass. I am working on the pricing, it will be around $300-320 which I think is very fair for such a unique kit with a story behind it. Inspiring those to never give up and to go after their dreams. Something everyone should live by. This price is similar to the Wildman 3 and the Madcow Go Devil/Adventurer

I would love to know how many people are interested, and to also reserve a spot on the list for this limited edition kit.

I would be interested if it came with decals.
Me and Mark Hayes are working on a decal deal, we are trying to get them down in price as much as possible, as you can see they are very vibrant and high quality. So far it looks like the decals will be around $47.00 but we are working on that. I know every time I paint a rocket it gets to be around $50-70.00 depending on exactly what paint I use. So the decal price may seem a little high, but for a 9”x66” long decal it really makes the kit.

Working on the instructions for GoFast kit. My biggest pet peeve when ordering kits from manufacturers is most do not have well thought out instructions if not any at all. These are very clear, lots of pictures and detail, and printed in color. I typed them while actually putting mine together so the steps are thought out while waiting for glue to dry. I’m still working on the literature a bit but here is a sneak peak.

Interested. Are you going to offer an AV-bay and recovery options as well with the kit?

Yes I will be offering av bay packages as well, I’m going to place a order with SMT right away so he can start producing parts. Also there will be a recovery package as well which will include everything you’ll need to safely recover your rocket, from the main chute, drogue chute, stainless steel quick links, eyebolts, shock cords and flame shields.

Fuscient and eAc are long gone, so obtaining their logos wasn’t going to happen. Luckily enough after searching I found the original backup decal from 2004. Mark Hayes had the ability to scan the 17ft long decal and digitize it and than downscale it. So this 1:3 Scale Space Shot is a 100% replica in everyday, literally.

This is a major change compared to the Miss Riley kits, is I’m getting them in hand, wrapped and boxed, before the orders are placed. This will take a bit longer to get them live on my website, but it’ll be much shorter from when it’s ordered to delivery, I’m suspecting most will ship same day as ordered.

Buddy great rocket. Was it rough getting that big of a decal on?
Actually it was very simple, and I have never put a full wrapped decal on. These decals have a special glue on the backside that doesn’t trap bubbles as easy. I just drew a straight line down the rocket, got the decal straight and took my time going around. The preparation is 90% of it, if you have a clean surface, the decal is in line, it’s going to go perfectly. It took maybe 15 minutes to put it on, never had to release a single bubble. Although I would definitely recommend spraying clear over the decal to fully protect it. This rocket will fly really nicely on a larger L motor, as a 54mm 6XL Case will fit nicely.

Buddy did you spray a little water on the tube first? For sure getting a stright line on the tube is the key.

I personally did not spray any water down when applying it, but it never hurts too, it makes it easier to take it off and on if a mess up occurs. The decal has a special adhesive, when it first goes on it’s not too sticky, but when you put pressure on the decal against the rocket it adheres like crazy. Mark even told me to leave my rocket out side for a day as it’ll get rock hard. Here is a great video from Stickershock that I found to be very helpful:

Buddy are you coming to MWP? If so will GFR be ready for pre paid delivery? Heaven help us if payment is made at the launch site.

I don't think there is an issue on pre paid sales. Your just making a delivery. Yes I hope we can have good weather but we just need to make the best of it.
