I got a few good pictures from MDRA's ESL #254 today (Sunday), including someone's L1 certification. Not sure where else to post 'em, so here's some rocket porn...

L1 Certification -- Congratulations and welcome to HPR!

Ah nuts, hope you get your rocket back. I've had some close calls and lucky recoveries with those trees. Nice photos.

Thanks, Marten. I can hope, but MDRA won't be back at the Sod Farm until May 2020, I believe. I don't hold out much hope for recovering it, and "professional" recovery would cost more than the rocket.

I broke down and ordered a new Chute Release already. I've gotta build my EggTimer Quantum and get DD working. That would give me a main chute at a lower altitude AND altitude tracking for a lot less than the $230 I just lost (JLCR + JLA1)!

The good news is that the trees are farther away at Higgs farm (but my rockets can still find them :) ). The Quantum is very nice, and a great deal! I like the Quark as well, but the Quantum offers a lot of features.

Posted this elsewhere, but deserves repeating. A fine photo of my Wildman Darkstar Jr on an H178 DM
Next time you come down, remind me to bring my SLR with rapid fire. Be happy to take some shots for you. ;)
