Measured the lot and buildings and starting entering it into CAD for I can have plans to submit to get a building permit for a car port.

I'm in Omaha.

I'm also spiffing up some unpublished old art for a "souvenir book". I may talk about it more later.

I'll talk a little bit now. I'm going to make the hard choice between working on the neglected car projects or the neglected Inventer & Igor animatic. Which would you go? Did I wait too long and time passed I&I behind?

I cleaned up a few telescopes, will perform colimation on a few of them tonight if it remains clear.

I got new boots. The seams were coming apart on the old ones.

I'm near the end of still trying to tweak the too rough inks on this thingie.

I went up to Soldier to see Mom and stay there a few days. So far I found that a potential donor frame for the Hawk is rotten. This project is so teetering on abandonment. But I'll probably be working on it tomorrow anyway.

Timed our first 5K of the season Saturday. Too freaking hot in Texas for a race in my opinion, but we're the timers not the organizers. I was in rough shape till the cleanup was done about 11:30 (94 degrees)...lots of equipment to pack up, and no shade on the line area at that point (the pic was at about 7:30 am...I don't need shade during setup! The canopy gets loaded first or everything doesn't fit in the van).

Picked up my Suburban after having new front brake rotors, pads, wheel bearings, calipers, and ABS sensors installed. I found a local guy who works out of his garage for $40/hr so the total amount was only $270.00. He also replaced all the brake fluid since he bled the brakes.

Returned my temporary license plate back to the DMV. Dropped off disability insurance papers for my Dr. to fill out and send in, now have to deposit $1000 dollars that I got from selling a pair of speakers to the Credit Union so that we can pay down debt.

Boxed up a Ryobi circular saw to send to my older brother. I had it listed on the local classifieds for the last year.

I had another setback on the hard luck Hawk. The donor frame that I wanted to slide under it happened to be rotten.

I wish that back in '97 that I had jumped on that project instead of making one last big run of Glider Sliders and Slider Pads before I lost access to Cedar Works. That thing was a borderline surviver and driver. Instead I got sidetracked with the rocket company, Compaq, etc. I thought I had a great barter when I got back to it in '04 when I traded a parts/rebuilder F-150 to a body man for getting the thing fixed up. He then made promises to get around to it next season while the vehicle rotted away for 11 years. He finally reneged because tone policing. He didn't like the pressure my family and I were putting on him to get going. I did tote it home and got the engine and carburetor unstuck and running.

Got up and went to work despite having a cold. Poured half a pot of fresh hot coffee over my hand because some knucklehead didn't turn the lid the quarter turn to lock it in place. I shoulda stayed in bed.

I'm working on new lettering to replace the place holder lettering on the front cover for the souvenir book. Here's sneak peak at the back cover....

Dinked with conveyor systems in Inventor all day. Attended a five hour meeting on Lean manufacturing. Was so tired from work last week I didn’t even finish unpacking all the groceries on Sunday lol. Blew $480 on groceries. You guys just wouldn’t believe how many different ways Amazon wants their conveyors. Engineering to Order is back on mandatory overtime again. Entire factory can’t build conveyors fast enough. Need to get hands looked at this week, I think I got a fungus or bacteria peeling the skin slightly on some fingers. Always had athletes foot and I get rid of it then it comes back. Worst is when it gets on the hands when your trying to get it off your feet. Gotta learn to take care of myself better...

Stay tuned next on WTMI for a report on Andrew's intestines.

Seriously, tell it all to the doctor and ask if an oral systemic antifungal is in order (not trying to tell the doc that it is).

Working on my animated short film. Very rough setup at present.
Hey, no fair, that picture's got a rocket in it.

Where? ...it does? Doh!

Started a build of a desktop HPC cluster. 7 nodes, 28 cores, all open-source environment. I want to load openFOAM and do some CFD nozzle shape analysis.

Mom broke her coffee maker and I ended up taking her for a long winded errand run to Denison get another one, groceries, and other stuff. I got home a little too late to really want to start any dirty car stuff, so I worked on some art instead. I updated a couple of logos and the cover for the souvenir book. That cover features all sorts of clashing retro plus the galaxy's baddest mother... of three....

"Hard Luck Hawk" sounds like a rat rod to me. Does anyone do that to Studebakers?

Wait... I just Googled 'studebaker rat rod' and they do. Big time.

The thing may possibly end up as a Rat Rod. It was almost survivor and driver when I first got it. It could have been a restorer. Then it rotted away for 11 years as an idiot body man took his sweet time reneging on a barter.

A big question is whether the frame could be straightened or if another body shop only said that it couldn't because they didn't to to mess with it when it finally came up in line.

Thats a lot of whiskey. Should last you a long time. Do you give away or sell it to your friends?

If that was directed at me, those apples are going for cider rather than brandy.

And we’re licensed for making and selling wine and distilled products. No moonshining for me.

There are a lot of idiots around, unfortunately.

A Holverson Rat Rod would be an amazing thing. You have the design skills. Do we get a build thread?
