Hi Everyone,
I am a new member here from Bangalore, India. I was wondering if Peter Alway's books feature any dimensioned drawings for Launch Vehicles of India? @PeterAlway ?

I have Rockets of the World, fourth edition. The Rohini RH-75 and SLV-3 are included. There may be others in the supplements.

I would love to see the drawings for both RH-75 and SLV-3. Its really difficult to get them in India. Which year was the 4th Ed published?

I have already built a 1:100 SLV-3 by Paul Krummrey, but i'd still love to see the drawings by Peter

In my rocket closet I have a somewhat bedraggled (flown many times) 1:1 scale RH-75. It's a great prototype for "12 inch to the foot scale." Flies quite nicely on F & G motors, would probably be good on an H128 - anything bigger than that I would be worried about stability with those small fins.

You can start a conversation with the author (we still call it a private message, or PM) at the link in your first post. He has been known to post some dimensional drawings here, but out of respect for the author's copyright, I cannot do so.

I have the parts to clone the big OOP ASP Rohini. They are in a box waiting their turn in the build pile queue.
Cheers.

Until you guys mentioned this, I never had the faintest idea that the Rohini-75 is available as a 1:1 kit!!!! Wow! who make the kit?
Also, my question was for card modelling. We aren't allowed to fly rockets in India yet.

The Aerospace Speciality Products Rohini RH-75 is OOP (Out Of Production). Has been for several years. It was about 90% of scale, so maybe about a meter long, IIRC?
Anyway, the design is so simple that it should be an easy clone.
Sharma, are you aware that the Rohini is available as a free cardstock model download?

Laters.

Yes, i helped Neil design the shorter version of it. He has quoted my name on his page. :) I actually visited ISRO HQ and had a look at the actual size. The RH-75 was made in 2 versions. The longer one branded SSTC and the shorter one RH-75 only. Its really easy to replicate.

Ah, I should be calling you Sathya then. Apologies.
You would be right at home in the cardstock rocketry sub forum here.
Looking forward to your insights, and welcome.

I confess that I don't follow the plans forum much--I only keep track of the scale forum, so I didn't notice this thread until just now. Here are the drawings from "Rockets of the World," perhaps too late to be useful.
