I dunno, the pods are mainly just two nose cones, a piece of BT, and a couple of small fins. You'll need to get the dimensions, and getting the two nose cone shapes right could be tricky, but seems doable. The front one seems pretty close to ogive and the rear one looks like a conic with a rounded off tip. Just skip the dimples in the rear cone, maybe use some decals to simulate them.

Good idea

Exactly as Neil said, Kevin Johnson did a downscale using those techniques:

See the fifth picture on the right side. All you need are the dimensions of the pods. Or upscale the original pod dimensions.
Maybe one day soon someone will 3D print those parts so we can clone "em. I'm still waiting for the 3D parts to clone an ALCM cruise missile. Laters.

I'd quibble with the shape of the trailing pod cones in that build, but you really don't notice it in the finished product, which looks fantastic.

I have 2 of the Estes kits and I'd be willing to sell one. I can get it out of storage and check the price-tag if you're interested.

Those pods look upsidedown to me. For lower drag, there ought to be an elliptical in front and an ogive or conical in the rear. But instead it looks like an ogive in front and parabolic or something in the rear that's blunter. It just looks wrong.

I have the new release of the Estes Interceptor. If you want I could post some pics of a pods two halves along side a metal scale for ref.

Okay I took 3 pics with my phone at it's highest res of 13MP (4:3 format) and put them in a zip file. Tried to upload to this thread but got an error message that the zip file was too large. Drats!

So I uploaded the zip to File Dropper (Link). Hope this helps.

Note: File Dropper will only host my upload for 30 days.
