Anyone know of any vendor LDRS specials? Was thinking of a 75mm minimum diameter project, or something similarly high altitude.

We only have eighteen weeks left before the Waver opens at LDRS38. As of today, we have 133 paid registered flyers from 30 states and two countries.
Also, if you’re planning to be a Vendor and have not registered to be a Vendor, you only have one week left before advance vendor registration will close for reserved locations. If you don’t make the May 1 deadline you can still be a vendor but you risk not having a reserved location in the Vendor Mall or Row area. Locations should be assigned toward the end of May.

I have seen a lot of unadvertised specials happen on the field
you have to ask the vendors when you are there

My advice - bring $$ to LDRS or for that matter any big launch.

Wayne and I were at RocStock one year when a guy walked down the row with a 98mm red Dr. Rockets 15360 motor casing (wayne loooves Dr. Rockets). Wayne asked him if he was selling it and what price and the guy said make me an offer. We had a total of $102 cash on us so Wayne said $100.....and the guy sold it to us. It was brand new with closures. Since then we bring more cash to launches since you Just Never Know (and I really didn't like travelling home with only $2 in cash in my pocket)

On the other hand, we are also known to visit every vendor at every rocket launch we attend and buy something. If they are willing to haul the stuff and spend their time at a rocket launch - I'm going to support them.

At this LDRS it will be easy! lunch is at D & M Concessions and pick up a bag of ice at the same time. Winzer Family strolls around with ice cream. I fly in the morning and when the breeze picks up in the afternoon I go shopping along Vendor row. Planning on getting a drogue from Buddy at Rocketman, pickup motors and casings at Chris's, Wildmans and AMW. Couple of Harnesses at OneBad Hawk; 3-d Printed Sled from Lab Rat; a kit from Mach1 and check out the other vendors because you never know what you might find.

And I always hunt down and mist-spray water on Charlie Savoie at Aerotech. Just Because.

hahahahaha,,
That's pretty cool Sharon..
And thank you for your support..

P.S.
Would you please give Charlie a squirt for me,, lol..

Teddy

Adrian, you big trouble maker,, lol..
What's up man ??
Are you coming with Tim and Erik to URRF ??
You'll have a wonderful time..

Teddy

The post from Sharon I've quoted below is AWESOME; I missed it last week, so I'm a tad late to the party. Her line, "If they are willing to haul the stuff and spend their time at a rocket launch - I'm going to support them." is so very true. Spending so much time out at the Pasture is true dedication. Just ask Teddy, you can catch him napping just about any time of day. ;-)

This leads me to reiterate an important point ...

This is the Last Call for LDRS 38 vendor sign-up to get a reserved spot in the main vendor area. If you are a rocketry OEM or retailer we can reserve a place for you but we have to plan ahead. Please send an e-mail to [email protected] by May 1, 2019 - that's the deadline to ensure your place in the "LDRS 38 Mall"

Going forward, our layout will be firmed-up so a reserved vendor slot is iffy at best.

Thanks Sharon for you words. Some of the many great things about LDRS are the vendors and there's no better place for vendors to get first-hand exposure to the High Power Rocketry community than on the field at an LDRS.

smMedals.jpg Registration Question

I would like to fly some High Power under the TMP program - my mentor will be the flyer-of-record, of course.
When I complete my online registration, I just UN-check the High-Power box. I fly for free because I'm under 18.
My mentors (parents) register HP like normal.

Do I have it correct?? o_O:D:p

Can you please teach some of my project managers how to ask good questions?

Hello Teddy,

I've got Good News and Bad News. The Good news is that last year's Mini-Mid West Power was a great time. The Bad News is that you were there, I saw you, and I'm pretty sure that picture was NOT photoshopped! I'm going to agree with Sharon on this one!

You need to find a new story! LOL!

I can't believe this thread has gotten so low in the list. Time to get it back up there...
Got this one ready for LDRS. WM 5" Goblin. Probably go small; like K560W... Although I do have a 4grain sparky of some sort... Hmm
Oh, and Teddy, Brad can call me Sharon... It's OK, he's getting older now. :p:p

Six weeks out now, so I think we need to bring this thread back.
Sharon and I are reducing the number of rockets we're bringing to LDRS. So we should show up with somewhat less than 20 rockets this year.

As of now, Sharon has four rockets:
1. Her L3 rocket, the Gizmo XL will be flying on a research 98/10000 Wayside white
2. Madcow DX-3 on her "Sharon's Sparkler" formula in a 76/6000 casing.
3. 4" Punisher "Cuddle Monster" on a CTI M2080 Skidmark wearing David Reese's t-shirt.
4. 3" Darkstar on her sparkler formula in a 54/2550 casing.

I have seven rockets, with three of them a Sharon and Wayne team effort.
1. Blackhawk 54 on a CTI L935
2. 3" Blackstar on a research 54/2550 Wayside White
3. Mongoose 75 on a CTI M840
4. 4" Punisher in a drag race with Charlie Savoie on M1955 Dark Matter loads.
5. Team flight of "CJ's 2 stage on CTI L935 booster/K261 sustainer.
6. Team flight of "Tweety Bird", our scratch built 5x54mm rocket on two J430's, two J250's and a center LOKI M1378 red.
7. Team flight (with some help) of my Ultimate Darkstar on a CTI O3400 Imax.

Wayne,
Am I in this M1955DM race? I have the Punisher and the 75/7680 case... Work your magic for me. Oh, and I have a special igniter for the load to actually be competitive this time...

While we work that out...
Here's what I'm bringing so far:
PR Mad Maxx 8" on AT N3300R again...
WM Punisher 4 on AT L1040DM
WM Wild Thang Extreme on CTI L1410SK
WM Interceptor 98 on AT K828FJ
WM 5" Goblin on AT K560W
LOC King Viper III on 3 mystery motors??? Maybe K185W or J450DM DMS... Or somethin Jason cooks up???

Pre-registration topped 250 this morning. Two weeks to go and the final rush will hit the last two weeks before cutoff. Save enough to buy a G-80 and pre-register.

LDRS38 will be big and fun with lots and lots and lots of big rockets. Even for us G-80 flyers (oh look Bob, I flew a J today) there are big projects coming.
Not just lots of venders to sell their goods to you, but information and suggestions to help make you a better flyer.

Kloudbusters have opened the gates to our pasture this year to Tripoli. We are serving up the best rocket pasture fellowship one can find. If you havn’t already, check out LDRS38 on Facebook to see some of what you’re going to miss. More announcements soon, as everything is quickly coming together for what will become a truly memorable event for all to remember.

if you planning on coming to fly with us, go to LDRS38.ORG and register before the early discount goes away.

It’s going to be big!
