Got my L3 with a MAC kit. 4" Radial Flyer to 13,000' and Mach 1.1. You could keep it a bit lower and slower with this kit. ;)

I’m always amazed how fast MAC kits go together! Here are some fin jig ideas and a pic of tonight’s triple dipped internal fillets.

Going to be waiting on 75mm hardware and reloads at this rate. ;)

Just started my build last night, I plan on a custom paint job via Airbrush. Something wild while trying to incorporate the Black Fly. Have some pondering to do:)

Here's my finished 6" Fly. I ended up with a dry weight of 25.6 lbs and right at 1 cal of stability with the motors I have planned. Everything in the kit went together great.

I am hoping for a maiden flight in early April on an AeroTech RMS-75/5120 L1420R.

Man, is that a gorgeous rocket...
No kiddin, that look and shape is just a hit out of the park..
Good for you man..
Good luck on the flight..

Thank you for the kind words, all! Yep, I'm planning on both ground and on board video, and will certainly share! I made a conformal mount for my 808 camera with a 6-32 weldnut inside the air frame.

Man that is one purdy Fly! Really looking forward to seeing her lift off the pad with the usual accompaniments of stills video and music. Maybe some Gary Clark Jr. "Numb" building up as she leaves the pad.

Well the 6" Fly is officially loaded on the website and available as a standard kit. Sorry for the delay. Every time I got a batch done out the door they went. They're on the shelf ready to go. Thank you so much for all the continued support. We couldn't do it without you!!

Gorgeous!!!
... "Sorry, dear... I really don't know why the credit card balance jumped so much. ... What's that? There's a large box being delivered? Oh that's mine... It's, ER, ... Um... Nothing, hunny."
LoL

... the guy who wrote those directions is really a very awesome, wicked smart dude. And sexy as hell.
LoL!

HED has been a "second standard" since Wildman released the Punisher. It had been done before, but since that release, manufacturers have been doing a lot more HED kits. I love it, just a handful fewer parts, and easier to prep, in my opinion.

you might put links to those optional items
it is not clear that you also sell them

You bet, hopefully a maiden flight in April-May once NCR is flying again at the Pawnee NG north site. I've cleared my build pile in anticipation. Mine has been in the design phase for over a month with construction now proceeding in earnest. L1150R, M1297W, and 75/5120 hardware have all been on order for a couple months now...

Mr. Pitfield-

Not sure about a full on build thread, curating one properly is a project in and of itself and spare time seems to be in short supply lately. Maybe I'll share my L3 documentation by request?

TBD on the nose tip, with HED and the extended length booster it might not need any extra nose weight!

One more yuuuuge picture... Here's just the NC next to my 4" Fly, which last flew on an L1000W and is prepped for a K1103X flight next month.

yes, please share the L3 docs

what recommendations on BP charges?
I see it normally uses a 10 foot main chute and 40" drogue

mine ships today
