Fresh off my inbox, From Madcow:

"We are beginning to slowly ramp production on the Polecat Aerospace line and the first kits are ready to be sold. We started with the very popular 5.5" product line. We have the 5.5" Fat Man, the 5.5" Goblin, and the 5.5" Nike Smoke ready to ship. The Nike Smoke has options for either a 54mm or 75mm motor mount as well as Single Deploy or Dual Deploy.

They are on our website at https://www.madcowrocketry.com/polecat-aerospace/. "

So happy to see these great kits back in production.

uh those prices are not appeasing... or is it the fact they are sold in bulk packs? idk Estes sells em for like 20 bucks please explain

Big, light, sturdy rockets at a reasonable price. I used their 4" BBIII for my L2 rocket and am currently building their 5.5" BBII. Pre-fiberglassed cardboard tubes are a great airframe material.

Ah i got this now they are Measured in feet not inches- uh problem with reasonable prices are these made from carbon fiber? There has to be something that makes them that expensive

I think you need to look at the measurements in the pic you posted. These are not Estes size kits.

I'm a cheapskate, so it pains me to say this, but that's not too bad of a price for a 5.5" diameter rocket.

given the size chutes listed for the goblin I would guess that it has a 54mm mount as well.

So are they Madcow glass or Polecat glass? Been wanting the 5.5" Goblin for so long. Bad timing for me though.

The Nike is available in 54 and 75 mm MM. The other two are 54mm.

I merged two threads.

This is great news. It did strike me as curious that Madcow was essentially using CAD renderings for the PoleCat products, though, since these products have existed in the past. Also, it never occurred to me that there are two "goblin" variants - the Estes version and its upscales, and the Madcow/Polecat version. Did the Polecat Goblin originate as an upscale from an earlier low power kit?

CAD renderings are all Polecat used on their website so that might be all Madcow has to go on for now.

I wanted a Polecat Saturn V to build for July but even if it was available this month it might be tough getting it ready in time.

I agree with the MC kits. One more week and I am going to start my Spring builds.
