I am hoping I am able to get this message out to any interested people. My husband, Micromeister, passed away on Saturday night after a difficult couple of years. I know how much he loved his MicroMaxxes, and how very happy it made him to be able to share his knowledge of and experience with model rocketry with anyone who asked. He was a wonderful man and really did love this hobby. Keep 'em flyin'!

Sorry to hear this, he was definitely a knowledgeable person and willing to share that knowledge with anyone willing to listen. We all knew him as Micromeister but iirc his real name is John?

Yes, his name is John, but being new to this forum I didn't know what the rules are, if everyone just went by their aliases or what. He never really told me. I just figured you'd all know him as Micromeister.

I’m very sorry for your loss. I enjoyed his posts.

I am so sorry for your loss. I learned a lot from him over the years here on this forum and he freely shared. He will be missed, and my prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Mrs Micro,
I knew John via this Forum for many, many years & benefited from his knowledge tremendously. We corresponded over 14 yrs.discussing the finer points of micro rockets. There will never be another like him. His skill set and attention to detail are unsurpassed. He was responsible for my interest in the tiny vehicles. I had not heard from him since he told me of his illness.I too had a serious incident last year, I feared the worst and truly appreciate your kindness in taking the time to alert us to his passing.
He always made time and availed himself to answer the many questions I peppered him with.
He and his wonderful skills will be sorely missed by myself and the many others benefitting from his wealth of knowledge.
May God welcome him and I hope is is watching over us with a big smile. We all will fly a few in his remembrance.

My condolences...Jim H.

The strangest thing - I thought of Micromeister yesterday and wondered how he was doing. I wake this morning (I live in England) and read this very sad news. I never met your husband but like so many others I always followed his posts on this forum. We all learned something from him and through this hobby and the enthusiasm he shared we'll all carry some of his warmth, humour and creativity with us. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

I always enjoyed his photos which he freely shared. Especially his captions which he formatted the same way every time, at least as far as I remember. His attention to detail was evident from his photos. Guys like him really make a difference by sharing their knowledge and techniques freely. I’m sorry for your loss and I hope you know that he’ll be missed by many here.

God bless,

Tony

Condolences to you for your loss. Micro certainly left his mark on this forum and the hobby. I too will miss his astonishing photo gallery.

What a sad loss for you, for this community, and for NARHAMS. I only met you two a few times, but you were nothing but kind to my kids and me.

My heartfelt condolences to you. I will pray for you.

Really sorry to hear of John's passing! I've been a member here for 10 years and I always learned so much from his posts. My heartfelt condolences to your family.

Sorry to hear about Micromeister's passing.
We had a few disagreements, but I always appreciated his dedication to the hobby and all his Micromaxx down scales.
He leaves a great legacy of plans for future builds.

I first met John at a Narhams meeting in 1989. I've been attending meetings and launches with John for the past 30 years. John and his family have always been family. John was like a brother. John always wanted to talk rockets and I spent time when I could with him comparing notes on anything rocket related. We flew NAR competition over the years including many an ECRM. Before the micro max motors came onto the scene, John built many model rockets from sport models, to odd rocs, to scale. Two of John's favorite events were Plastic Model Conversion and Cluster Altitude. We had fun flying these and other events through the years. John has a collection of "tech tips" on various topics on the narhams website on the library page, lots of great stuff. I am saddened at losing him.

To the Mrs..... we will see you soon.

Jim
