I was an early adopter of the 3D printed case for the Eggfinder receiver/LCD system back in the fall of 2015. I have used the system at many launches and have been very happy with it's performance. Recently, however, the handle has delaminated at the top where the screw holes are. See photos. I tried to repair to no avail. I contacted Kyle G. of Black Aero to see if I could purchase a replacement handle, thinking that I could extend the life of the case for another 3 years. Not only did Kyle respond immediately, he offered to replace the case with a new version 2 which has many design improvements and details, one if which is a more robust and larger handle. Thanks to Kyle for standing behind his product and supporting the evolving rocketry market with a great product.

I appreciate the kind words. I always stand by my products and am happy to send you a replacement. Let me know if you have any other issues or concerns.

Hopefully soon, my tools will expand bringing more products to the table.
 
I re-built the Eggfinder LCD into the new version 2 enclosure this past weekend. Everything works fine. The only thing I needed to do was to drill a hole to mount the backlight switch.
 
I destroyed the power rocker switch while I was pulling a tight spade terminal off. I tried to buy one. He sent me one for free. 100% recommended.
 
Hi Kyle, how do I go about ordering the V2 version of the E.F. LCD Case. I went to your sight and believe the only one listed is the original version in Grey color? Is the V2 still available and are there any color choices.

I apologize for not seeing this earlier. But I only sell the V2, so any order placed will be the new version.

Is that true? Not many replace so quickly. Must be a trustworthy seller. Thanks for sharing your experience on this thread
 
I broke the momentary push button on my first case. I mentioned it when ordering a second case and he threw in an extra one. He didn't even ask how I broke it. But it was straight up my fault for manhandling the little button.
 
Thank you for everyone's patience this last week. The wife and I had to rush to the hospital so our first child could be born safely. This meant, I was at the hospital for about a week and orders were delayed.

Tomorrow, all of these orders will be shipped out.

Congratulations on the new addition! Trust mom and baby are doing well.

Just placed an order for the V2. I was hoping to get the January sale price, but it didn't ring up that way for PayPal fyi.
 
Has any one been able to contact Black Aero recently? I have not been successful so far.
 
Its been a month. But Kyle responded with in a few days to my email. Him and his wife do have a new baby.
