There is no dilemma for me, document and measure carefully for cloning purposes then build it and fly it!Holy cow! That’s quite a collection. It’s like the greatest hits. Too rich for my blood. The thing is with old kits, it’s always the dilemma build or collect.
Yup, I noticed that. Funny thing is that many motors HAVE been sold repetitively on there. They need to pull the motors from the auction; ebay doesn't allow them to be sold.
Bingo! There is no dilemma for me, document and measure carefully for cloning purposes then build it and fly it!
Holy crap. Warn me before I click on a link. That almost gave me the big one.
Why, was it like a look into your storage shed???
I'd swear this guy got this stuff from a closed down hobby shop.
It may be me but I just clicked on the link and it came back as broken, nothing there?Does anyone here think this collection is worth the asking price. I don't have the patience to create a list and check.
I think it's ridiculous to buy old model rocket kits as a speculative investment, I believe these will only hold their value until people of the age that grew up with these are dead and then they'll just drop, similar to hot wheels. Except, maybe in the case of a very few early kits fundamental in the formation of the hobby. I can understand if it's something that you really really want to own and youvey got the money why not, for an investment I'm not so sure.
Old Estes packaging after they switched from the blue rolled paper IIRC.What are those long, skinny black and light blue packs on the center right of the engines picture?
180 kits or so, many levels of rarity.
@ 20 = 3.6k
@ 30 = 5.4k
@ 40 = 7.2k
@ 50 = 9.0k
...
25k, ignoring motors ( many of which are very common ), is about $140 each or so. Most kits there are worth nowhere near that much IMO.
Presumably the point is to draw offers?
