Never enough! There is always that next one I want!

Recycle whatever parts are reusable and discard the rest. (Otherwise I would have even more of a storage problem.) The part I like most is designing and building. (Flying is just to prove it worked.)

Thanks. I was halfway hoping that there was some other solution favored by elite rocketeers.

And yes, I agree. The making is more fun than the having. So thanks for the validation.

Well Bill , I was re arranging the work room and everyone (for the most part) was all in one place - so here ya go.
Georganna still says it all your fault by the way :D

6 Low Power flyable, 1 Hi Power flyable, Numerous treed or crashed, over 30 in the build pile, all sizes. And plans to upscale several of the hobby size birds. Have done the CAD for a 3X Mars Lander that will cost a fraction of the one being sold and weigh much less as well. It Is called Engineering, I used it on the Rocket design. Did the same on my 2X from Tango Papa. The 2X ended up at almost the same Wt as the 1.6X at 3.6Lb VS the designed 5+Lbs. Yes, I flew it on the same exact motor as the 1.6 many times and it flew just fine. Won't talk about why it crashed, Just saying I won't use that motor company again for a Mars Lander. 2X #2 in progress, Mods same as the first one with a bit more improvement.
You cannot build a rocket strong enough to survive a crash, You can build it too heavy to fly SAFELY.

25-30 high power that are flyable. I have 15-20 in the rebuild phase. I have hundreds that need to be built.

The collection has been growing. I was running out of space in the dining room so I'm making a rocket room downstairs. My build pile has been growing too because I was running out of space. Picking up a desk tonight to set up a build area. 1546909529352.jpeg

I have 9 HPR kits including a couple of them that haven't been built yet, and probably 20 LPR-MPR rocket kits..

I also have a TON of rocket parts laying around!! Here's about 1/3 of the parts I have:

Thanks,

That looks like one of the old Estes/Centuri "fleet" catalog photos, after somebody moved the camera 5 times during the exposure. Well done!

7 flyable rockets right now.

Warlock for on L1 or L2 motors.
Custom Comet for L1 or L2 motors.
Custom “Pod Rocket” for L1 motors.
G-Force for MPR and L1 motors.
Argent for MPR.
Ascender for 2-stage and MPR.
Maxi Alpha Three for LPR/MPR.

I’m not a big fan of clutter, and I live in a small house, so I do have to fight my own desires to keep the fleet manageable. I’ve sold off a bunch of unbuilt kits in recent years, Right now I have one unbuilt Sahara and a crashed Partizon night rocket I might repair.

Nice! 29 or 38 mount?

Club VP gave me a g-force from 2004 (motor hook, not retainer) and I'm opening the rings, trimming the tabs, and printing lock rings to fit a 38 mount!

Mine is the same vintage. It came with the motor hook, but I didn’t use it and bought an Estes 29mm retainer instead. I also left out the “cooling mesh”, and I use a Kevlar blanket to protect the chute. When I first got it, I flew it at my club’s LPR launches on G motors with a 1,000-foot ceiling. It was always the biggest rocket at the LPR launches! Now I fly it at HPR launches on 29mm H motors. I think this is my all-time most-flown rocket. I fly it at almost every launch.

Hey Bill, you planning on flying this weekend ??
Andy, im very sick..... been off work for 6 weeks. I thank God that I’ve been able to build some rockets for a couple of hours a day or Id go completely out of my mind.
I’m hoping maybe in February.... the future is very uncertain my friend.
