Rocketman Parachutes is currently working on several new styles of Parachutes, here is 2 of the newest styles which is our PolyConical Chutes and our Annular Chutes. Both of these Chutes will have 200lbs spectra for lines in all sizes, which will be some of the lightest parachutes available in Rocketry. Here you can kind’ve see how the lines work, the lines from the spill hole insert into the main lines which pulls in the top, it’s a very complicated process while sewing.

Those chutes are so hot, they provide enough actual warmth for the guy to demonstrate them in the arctic circle wearing nothing but short sleeves!

Newbie question here, besides being really cool, what's the functional difference between the different types of chutes? Does the giant hole in the middle encourage it come come down straighter?

That is tricky. I've built one with lines across the hole. This is a whole 'nother ball game. My hat is off to you sir!

I’m working on developing chutes for every one, to have the most reliable Chutes on the entire market. I’ll have the most rugged Chutes, and also the most compact Chutes on the market. The one with the big spill hole (Annular) will be the most Ultra Light Chute ever designed. The giant spill hole makes the chute much more stable when coming down.
