That misalignment would yield an apparent yaw/pitch precession correct?

It looks like cross-axis sensitivity. The question is, what would something like the attached plot do to your tilt calculation? (roll/Y axis scale on left, X and Z on right)

This doesn't seem like a device or calculation issue. All I can determine is the attitude of the tilt board.

Holee Guacamole! Wow!
Quickee question. With the updated firmware in the 33 or 54 can it still be flown nominally without the tilt gadget? Say one uses the Marsa in a single stage project after the update.
Me suspects after flashing the firmware detects the present of the module and behaves accordingly. If not present, the Marsa33/54 behaves in a normal fashion? Kurt

Exactly. All Marsa's shipped now have the tilt firmware resident. Build24. Soon it will be publish and it will be a recommended upgrade.

Thank you very much. Will be ordering one very soon.
William
William, thank you. You will need to flash new firmware on the Marsa for it. I will have a how to on the website shortly.

Hi John,
In getting to know my new tilt module, and reading through the documentation on the Marsa site and on here, I have one question which is might be obvious to everyone else -

What units is "Speed" measured in? feet per second? miles per hour? meters per second? kilometers per hour? furlongs per fortnight? (yeah, that's the one for sure!)

Yes I need to brush up the documentation on the website. Glad you are getting to play with it.

Speed is {ft/s}

You can also test it by hooking it up and running a simulation flight. The tilt angle is displayed on the LCD during the simulation.

Does it matter if the rocket is vertical while being turned on ?
For playing around no, for a real rocket flight ABSOLUTELY.

The MrfGyro is powered by the Marsa. The rocket should be vertical and still when turned on as the gyro's are zeroed when turned on and on the pad.
