About 10 years ago I was using an e-match that was attached to a small cardboard tube as part of my ejection system.

The wires were red and blue and it came with the cardboard tube attached.

Does anyone remember the maker of these? I really like them but can't seem to locate any now.

Thanks!

Chuck

Does this just screw onto a bulkplate and then you stick the e-match in and tape it down?

After the powder is in, put the e-match on top; don't bury it. Buried matches tend to blow out unused powder, weakening your charge. Put dog barf on top of the match, then tape over everything with masking tape.

Personally, what I do is attach the match to the terminal block. Tape it to the charge well with a layer of masking tape. Pour in the measured powder, tip the match head onto the top of the powder, overstuff it with dog barf, put two pieces of tape cross-wise across the top to hold the barf in, then one more tape wrap around the outside.

Also, for that much powder, consider using two matches in series (parallel can overdraw on the alt).

???
I've done probably about 200 deployment charges with e-match buried in the black powder. No problems. Maybe because I tend to use more powder than necessary.
