I love fruit cake, and the leftover Christmas pudding after the silly season makes for some of the best fruit cake to be eaten ever.

And I'm going to. Just in from my brothers T'day and they had a huge punch bowl full of this stuff. Of course, I got some of that in my to-go container along with some other delectable delights right at the start. I knew it wouldn't last. And by the time I was ready to leave, I saw the entire bowl was empty. That's some yummy stuff there my friend.

For about 10-15 years after I turned about 13-14, one of my aunts would send me a fruitcake every Christmas.

Very quickly I determined nobody else in my family wanted them, so I began a tradition of opening our family room sliding door, and chucking the fruitcake discus-style as far as I could. Every year I would get a fruitcake from Aunt Brunhilda and every year I would hurl it out into the blackness of our back yard.

Funny, we never did find any fruitcake remains or fragments in our back yard the next morning. I don't know who or what took them away, but they went somewhere.

I'm think'n the bad ones..hard as rocks and tasteless [which are most of them] could easily be used as "bunker busters".

Maybe I've had rockets on the brain too long, but when I see these, I want to throw out the styrofoam ball, slap on dowels, a launch lug and an engine mount. Then head out to the launch range with an edible Sputnik.
