Like an aluminum angle piece?

I've got a 4' section of ~1" (maybe it's 3/4") that's worked fine for anything over 2". For smaller tubes, try a little length of 1/2" or 3/8 corner trim.
(A walk through Home Depot or Lowes -or your country's hardware equivalent- can be enlightening)

Yes aluminum, I was looking at the hardware the other day and wasnt for sure what size to buy. I'm glad I ask because I would have bought 1.5 inches. I was going to carry a tube in to test but thought better of it.

I will be working with tubes from 1" to 4"

If you can find the 'Great planes Bar Sander', get one! Not only a great sanding bar, but also the shape lends itself well to marking lines & such on tubes (I've even cut fin slots with it!)

Get the longest you can, and chop into 2 pieces, a long piece (16" or more) and a short piece 9abotu 8" or so..

I have couple of those somewhere in my model airplane stuff, but they haven't showed them selves, I will have to look a little harder
