Do you have an idea at this point if the parking will be in one of the fields or along the road. Assuming that this is also weather dependent.....

Parking is always dependent on the weather and field conditions. My best advice would be to watch the forecast and see if there is going to be rain anytime from Thursday to Sunday. If there is rain in the forecast, chances are we will be parking on the street. I asked everybody to be prepared to park on the street, it is not an option to park in the field if it is raining.

I am working on a new project for MWP for several to participate in.
I will do a new thread when I get all of the details worked out

... I was thinking - What's up with Wildman?!? - no announcement about a MPW kit special, nothing about a drag race... o_O

I gonna be there the 1st - 5th to help mainly so admins I signed up for setup and teardown but I will jump in for anything the whole time.
Will only have time if I'm lucky to get a few small(er) rockets ready. Yeah, they'll have trackers. Life and work thing.
Good gosh I can't wait for retirement. Take all day long to clean up my stuff at home and then build to my heart's content and be able
to attend any or all of the QCRS launches the rest of the year! Kurt

Hate to be a bringer of bad news, but the long term weather forecast through that weekend looks......as bad or worse as last years event. Is there an alternate date in case the whole weekend turns out to be overcast / rainy?

Howie,

You are from Chicago, you should know better. The weather can and will change every time you look at it! LOL!!

As far as an alternate date. That’s a no. We have too many things in place that can’t be moved to another date.

We have had terrible forecasts in the past and the weather has changed last minute.

Jason,

I'm actually from Des Moines, which often means when we get bad weather, you do the next day. And anything can and often does happen in November. Let's hope and pray we have better weather then the current forecast, and monitor that in the meantime.

Well, we're T-7 days and it looks like there might be an opening in the weather. Unfortunately though, it looks like we have a few days of scattered showers a few days ahead. Praying thats not the case.....

I have several flights planned with only a few staying under a few thousand feet. Hoping for some breaks in the clouds if we have cloud cover. :-\

Got a (7) Dark Matter cluster I am hoping to launch and my WM Jr on a J1000......we better have good weather!!

It's called a new and, much bigger trailer! It's like Hotel California in there...walk up the ramp and, you can never leave until you've spent the WAD...

Whu?

Jason,
I'm actually from Des Moines.........

The home of SLIPKNOT! :D *psychosocial* *psychosocial*

Well boys...looks like Cj will be there this year! Riding up with Clifton...

May God himself have mercy on your soul- Seriously you two, keep it between the lines and, have a safe trip! :)

The weather will be there and, so will *we*... Can only make the Saturday show this time but, i will not break my streak of 14 straight events and, counting! Plus i need a reason to add another Hoodie to my collection of about 40+. Probably just going too bring the usual- "An asymmetrical Plane style Rocket with the balance of a drunken Sailor on shore leave utilizing Russian sourced Titanium, processed in Canada and, burned all over what was once fertile ground in north central Illinois."

AKA a hotrodded M*dcow Bomarc on way more power than it was designed for...

You've been warned.

Miss Ya'll ;)

Hey everyone!
There's a guy with two thumbs who's ready for MWP16... That's THIS GUY! :cool::cool::cool:o_O

I haven't had time to stop and breathe, let alone prep rockets. My flight plan is...exactly nada. However, I'm plenty thrilled to see friends, be mocked mercilessly, and probably end up flying something that I glue together in ten minutes at Tim's house...

I am coming from central NY with a few friends. We normally fly out of Potter NY URRG. Were not planning on flying but enjoy the event we have heard its a great time.
If you're flying in, stick a rocket in a box and check it as luggage. Once you see the fields in Princeton, you'll get a bad itch to fly a rocket, and it's no fun not having one with you just in case ;)

Can't wait to see everyone. Four days!
