Thanks Tony, I test my altimeters before every flight, my altimeter bay design works fine as a vacuum chamber and i may be showing my age but i still use flashbulbs to test them...this one appears to function fine and I'll pair it with a 2 year old DDCS2I have a wide variety of older Baro based altimeters. After testing I've found a number that no longer work reliably. You don't say how old your is but it's worth testing in a 'vacuum' chamber just to make sure it's still in good working order. I made mine out of a clear plastic tennis ball container and use LEDs (with a resistor) wired to the outputs.
Good luck,
Tony
Thanks Jim...I put the jumper on the top 2 and tested it along side my DDC2 with no jumper and the ALTS25 fired ahead of the DDC2 so I think it's good to gonone is 600
none is 600
Yep, it is the same as the ALTS-2....Thanks for the help! ...while looking for my paperwork I did come across an old RAS2-50k....with a floppy disk for the the programYou got it. Paper work says none, 600’, lower 2 300’, upper 2 1200’. Cable end is the top.
Thanks, I appreciate the offer...I doubt I'll need them...i have the newer versions instructions and the only difference is the main deployment jumper settings....we build our altimeter bays the same and just slide a sled with two altimeters mounted on it into the new altimeter bay and plug it in.... works for rockets from 3" to 7.5" +''....keeps it simpleI have original paper copies of the alts25 instructions if you want copies
