Hi all, I have an older Alt S 25, it has a 3 pin jumper to set the sltitude for the second deployment...does anyone know the jumper settings for this altimeter?

Thanks, I found that...thats the ALTS 25 with the newer 4 pin jumper...had one of those too, but when they first came out, they had a 3 pin jumper and I seem to remember they had different altitude settings...of course the instructions wandered off long ago...

Off the top of my head. None is 300’, bottom two is 600’, top two is 1200’. Will make sure when I get home tonight.

That's what I suspect it is... it seems like all the Adept 3 pin altimeter and deployment controllers are the same with the exception of the S2 50k....i'll be using it as a back up anyhow....

I have a wide variety of older Baro based altimeters. After testing I've found a number that no longer work reliably. You don't say how old your is but it's worth testing in a 'vacuum' chamber just to make sure it's still in good working order. I made mine out of a clear plastic tennis ball container and use LEDs (with a resistor) wired to the outputs.

Good luck,

Tony

Thanks Tony, I test my altimeters before every flight, my altimeter bay design works fine as a vacuum chamber and i may be showing my age but i still use flashbulbs to test them...this one appears to function fine and I'll pair it with a 2 year old DDCS2

You got it. Paper work says none, 600’, lower 2 300’, upper 2 1200’. Cable end is the top.
Yep, it is the same as the ALTS-2....Thanks for the help! ...while looking for my paperwork I did come across an old RAS2-50k....with a floppy disk for the the program :)

I have original paper copies of the alts25 instructions if you want copies
Thanks, I appreciate the offer...I doubt I'll need them...i have the newer versions instructions and the only difference is the main deployment jumper settings....we build our altimeter bays the same and just slide a sled with two altimeters mounted on it into the new altimeter bay and plug it in.... works for rockets from 3" to 7.5" +''....keeps it simple
