Demon 75-Five is prepped and ready.
Now... just need an appropriate AT 38/360 motor. Suggestions?

The answer to these kind of questions is always the same: "Dark Matter" :) H178 in this case

Is it DD, or just motor eject?

I've got it rigged for a DD flight, but it could easily be flown SD. Maybe two flights if the first one goes well. !!! What?! Czerwin flying more than one rocket at a launch?! That hasn't happened since before the youngest was born. LOL

Are you sure you're feeling ok? :)

Taking her to BALLS instead? Going to miss you but have fun. Betsy will not be with me and we will not be launching her rocket from you without her. We have a good diagnosis of Phelan Mcdermid Syndrome for her now. Take care and see you next time we’re able to make the trip.

I'll have a Wildman Mach 2 rocket for sale at the launch. One flight... "gently" used... :) Buyer will need to provide avionics, everything else is included.

Make me an offer if interested.

Any word on the state of the mosquito population at Bong? They're horrible where I'm at, that may determine how large a crew I bring with...

Great launch today.. I think my favorite one was jd2cylman's LOC goblin on the I longburn motor.

Great day at the Bong. Good size crowd, 2 L3 certs. Winds not bad at all. And Wildman had lunch for all of us. Thanks so much Jackie and Tim.

I really wish I would have thought to film it... :(:(
Crazy how slow it took to come up to pressure. I got one more of those motors. We'll see if it'll happen again. :D

Forgot to give a HUGE thanks to Glen for helping me de-tree my Demon 98. Thanks to his heroic efforts, the Demon survives to fly again!!!

No worries- I didn’t pick up any infectious diseases. And it was a fairly easy recovery, other than the walk thru the jungle.

I enjoyed Saturday as well. Got one flight in, stayed the whole day, lunch was great, thanks again all!

Didn’t even get around to the Aerotech motor lesson. Flew my Frenzy on a CTI J295 right into the jungle. Spent some of Saturday and Sunday morning searching. Found it deep deep in. So between that and enjoying others flights I didn’t even attempt the others. It was great seeing everyone again and a big shout out to Frank and the rest at TWA for putting on a great event and Tim for the supplies and the grub.

Decided is was too windy for the Space Shuttle Stack. Asa and I flew a 24mm Estes Blender upscale and an Estes Cosmic Interceptor downscale, put rockets and motors in Mr Bertoldi’s camper for Alex, said hi to friends and went back to work at the winery.

Many thanks to Tripoli WI for hosting.

I made it to Bong on Sunday, late, very late. Bought a few motors from Wildman including a G138T for a future L1 cert. Prepped my BlackFly for it's maiden flight with a G76-7 (Delay drilled for 6 seconds) and ended up being the last flyer of the Day. The "Up" part of the flight was beautiful. Drogue deployed at apogee, picture perfect. But then the "Down" phase started. At 600ft, the main was supposed to open but never did. And, stupid me, looked away from it's descent path to say something to an official. So of course I could not find it after searching for over an hour.....

But I did find two other rockets.

The first one I found was this one...

I handed it off to one of the TWA officials. I was informed that they knew the owner and would contact same via Facebook.

The second rocket I found was one of these..

I made it back to Bong this morning around 11am to search some more. At approx 12:30pm....

I found this guy

Found MPR Rocket-Small.jpg
I will bring this puppy to Woosh next weekend. So if you know who the owner is, please have him or her pm me here on TRF. Sorry I do not like FB and very rarely log in there.

By 2pm I was getting fed up being eaten alive by the hoards of micro vampires and paused as I decided to call it quits. I scanned to ground cover one last time, and in a large swath of of tall weeds/grass a patch of white wildflowers caught my eye. I knew they were not the BlackFly but a little voice in my head said "Walk that way", so I did.

And then BAM! Low and behold, about 5 feet before and 5 feet to the right of the flower patch, there lay my BlackFly!!!

So, Lost one bird and found four.

Not a bad day.

Hurray for found rockets! Especially ones own.

I don’t think you can use the G138 for a cert flight. It may be HPR (>80N), but I think the cert procedure specifies it has to be an H-I for L1.
