FlisKits is still recovering from NARCON and are hammering away at our back log of orders. Please bear with us as we get them finished up. The bulk of orders will be caught up by Friday though some may have to wait till monday as I am tied up all weekend with two out of state events...

Thank you much for your continued support!

Let us know when things get REALLY backed up. I've always wanted an Overdue to build, so I can keep the one I have in my untouchable/collectible pile :D.

By the by, Jim. I miss your old avatar. The crispy-singed dude with the little wisps of smoke was kinda humerous.

:) easily changed. Actually that smokin' guy was my *second* avatar. The Native American on the horse was my original.

Backlog is a good thing sometimes, no?

Well, a backlog means that we're selling again (was a rather dry winter :) ), but I work hard to keep customer expectations up and a delay of several days to get an order out is normally unheard of here... So, I figured a heads up was worth while.

Ya know, Jim, if moving inventory is a problem, feel free to grab a dozen or so of everything, and ship them to me.

Then, I can send some of them out to customers, on your behalf.

Some.... :p

Fliskits has yet to be late for Mags and I so...... I just bought one instead of trying to wait for Jim to finally ship something late! Cool looking Bird.:D

Nah, you probably got the Long Overdue, a stretched version of the Overdue. I think other than a very rare lost order or something, the only time Jim's ever had to let an Overdue escape into public hands was when he tried to introduce the Grissom. Accepted preorders, then either nose cones or decals arrived fouled up, so he missed his release date. Those of us that preordered scored the very rare Overdue. The Long Overdue was a way of offering up a regular/accessible version of the cool design.

I almost feel guilty now...

I got one last Summer because a nose cone I ordered was out of stock.

Heck, I was going to build it but now I might just sell it! :D

Other than the USS Grissom issue I think that there are less than 14 or so out there. A statistic that I am very proud of as a matter of fact :)

Oh, and if you bought one it was the Long OverDue, as Chan pointed out.

It is a kewl kit and I couldn't resist customer requests to come out with a retail version. The beauty is we modifed the design so that you can NOT make an OverDue from a Long OverDue. You have to add a part to it.

Other than my own, I have only known of 2 authentic OverDue's that have flown.

:)

Well, my order has now shipped - thanks to Jim for his excellent customer service :)

Wow, now I feel really special. Although maybe I feel a little guilty.

I haven't built my signed, numbered Overdue

Carl Tulanko has Overdue #4 I think and I have #5 sealed away in a big plastic box somewhere.

You can hold up my Nantucket Sound order for a few weeks if you'd like.:D

What I have noticed over the years that one of the biggest complaints that I get if an order *is* late is that it wasn't late *enough*... :)

I also love the feedback I get from those few customers who did earn an OverDue kit but had no idea what it was all about until I directed them to the web page about it.

:)

Gee, seeing the thread name I thought maybe you were announcing a new kit named "Backlog", as a companion to the "Overdue".

I ordered some parts from Jim one time that were to be delivered at a CMASS launch. When the launch got rained out, I tried to convince Jim that I deserved an Overdue kit, but he didn't see it my way.

Yep, that's me. I ordered a Acme spitfire from you at NARCON 07. Paid for it and all, then just figured you had been busy building rockets for a few months.
Finally decided I really did want to build it so I called and you shipped it out with the overdue. I had no idea about the extra kit. I still haven't built the overdue but I put the Deadstone wraps on the Spitfire. It is very cool. Keep up the good work Jim.

George....

don't DO that to me! LOL

Now I'm trying to visualize just what a "BackLog" would look like...

jeeze...

:D

But Jim, it's already been designed. Just scroll down to the 6th place entry. I'm sure you could cut a deal with Todd Mullin. You'd have to venture out into clear fins, but your crayon already went there...

"Its log Its Log Its big its heavy its wood!"
but Jim couldn't use that since it is from Ren and Stimpy.

I can't believe you just posted the name of a scratch build I wanted to do!!!

It was going to be a veneer covered BT-70 tube rocket that would have been heavy and essentially made of wood!

I was going to make blamo decals to put on it.

Yea, but that's just a *log*.... You'd have to flip it over to face the other direction if you want a *back*log.....

Ok, I'm sorry. I'll go away quietly now...

LOL

Here's one with one main log and six back logs.

Feel free to change the colors and add appropriate decals, of course.

It's a BT-50 design, 15" body tube and 3" fin tubes.

Well, the good news is that our backlog is now down to zero...

Was a very hectic time there, but we're caught up.

Thank you to everyone for being patient with us. It was easier back years ago when the kids were home and could run the shipping department while we were on trips :)

whew!

It's Looog, It's Looooog
It's Better than bad, it's Good!

So, 14 overdues out there. Hmmm. Do I join the elite group of built-flown overdues, or do I display it in a museum? Shoot, I gotta find it first. Went looking last night and didn't see it on the pegboard.
