Then why is it in the new products section of the website, and that I have no memory of seeing it anywhere?I think that technical manual has been around for quite a while.

No idea, but ( for instance ) you could have ordered #2819 from the '95/96 catalog, pg. 59.
Maybe they updated it some more again?
I do not think the PDF is available.
The inside rear cover of the catalog shows the Apollo 11 Saturn V again. They discontinued that last summer, so I wonder if the plan is to re-resurrect it again? That page says something about a limited-edition kit with an added bonus.
They are mainly focusing on the 50th anniversary of Apollo XI.Would make sense as December will mark the 50th anniversary of Apollo 8...
Looks like Estes is not only bringing back the print catalog, but also a few old models like the lil Joe, and one of my favorites the Explorer Aquarius... Was skeptical at first but looks like Estes new ownership is legit.
Also there's a heartfelt forward by Ellis Langford in the beginning of the catalog, So far he looks like a real champion for the hobby.
By "lil Joe" you're referring to the forthcoming Little Joe 1, there has never been an Estes model of this rocket so it is not an old model to bring back. Just sayin'
Correct me if I'm wrong, but:
LJI uses Mercury Capsule.
LJII uses Apollo Capsule.
For those of you that haven't yet picked up the Estes catalog, I noticed tonight that erockets is selling both the 2018 Estes and Semroc catalogs for a penny. Might want to add those to your next order.
