Well now that URRF 5 is in the books it's time to relax and enjoy flying a few of my rockets. Even though the cloud cover during URRF didn't allow for as many BFR's as there could have been I was still very busy during the whole event.

As our local club launches tend to be a bit more relaxed I do still enjoy helping others get their rockets into the air. I just get to enjoy doing it for me too.

As always come on out and fly with us if your of a mind too. For our local launches we fly from the Oasis instead of the Back 40, we have a good time no matter where we fly from.

Thanks for your hard work Mike!

URRF5 was a great time. I only got to fly one rocket. Doing the vendor thing eats up so much time. I'm really looking forward to flying a few with everyone the end of the month (July 28-29). Its always a pleasure flying off the the Island Oasis. Lets break out the grill!!

Heck, I only got to fly two rockets at URRF. So I hope to make up for that in July (and August). Will the group be camped out at Country Charm again?

That is keeping it simple! What motors do you plan on flying and how much nose weight did you end up adding?
First flight will be on a 38mm motor, (an H or an I something), no nose weight needed. When I decide to put a big 54mm in it I will add some then.

For now I just want to see the whole flight and I want to see the chute release work since it will be the first flight for both of them.

Holy Cr#p, you just got that at URRF and its done already. It looks GREAT! Can't wait to see it fly next weekend.

That was nothing, even with using JB Weld for everything including the fillets. What surprised me was how rough the fiberglass nose cone looked after a couple coats. Wet sanding fixed that though, She's not perfect, but She's better than She was before wet sanding.

She fits the fleet though because ALL of my rockets look beautiful from 30' away.

Hi Folks,
I've got a few questions for this weekend's launch:
My forecast is calling for 40% chance of showers on Saturday. Is it safe to assume that we are going ahead with the launch both days?
Is the picnic scheduled for Saturday?
I have two Eggfinders - one on frequency 923.1 and the other on 923.7. Are these O.K., or do I need to change one or both?
Can someone witness my model rocket flight and sign my NAR Teacher Certification (NarTCert) Flight Form?
Hoping to see you soon,
Matt

What a great weekend really great flights and I even got one in. The camp ground was really fun. This weekend was a great break and get away. Hope to see everyone in august as its our picnic

Did anyone get photos of my M2500GG Kate flight Saturday morning?

Thanks
