Fat is a direct cause of heart disease. All dairy foods are bad due to this, and excessive animal fat, especially red meat and processed meats.
Hardening of the arteries. Hardening of the arteries, also called atherosclerosis, occurs when fat, cholesterol, and other substances build up in the walls of arteries. These deposits are called plaques. Over time, these plaques can narrow or completely block the arteries and cause problems throughout the body.
I stopped eating cheese, use low fat milk, and only egg whites.
Lipitor and any statins make me dizzy and feel like in another dimension, I told my doc to stop the cholesterol game (endless blood tests and funny pills), that I will clean up diet. Eat more veg, fruit, and grain (flax seed meal), and try to control the meat dept.
Note that asians that eat mostly fish and vegs do not get heart disease. But cancer eventually gets them. Take your pick. Heart failure or the big C.
